Under-the-Radar Underclassmen Who Proved Their Worth in 2025

As the year of 2025 draws to a close and with the season wrapped up, we'll spend the next few days spotlighting some underclassmen in the Hoosier State who had great years yet remain flying under recruiting radars. These four players have the tools to compete somewhere in college, and their senior year of tape backs it up.    Nolan Tarhh is a starting wide receiver for Maconaquah. He has blossomed as a junior. Tarrh is sneaky good: the 5-foot-11, 165-pound inside receiver is a very crafty route runner who can create space on his own, get open and get yards after contact. He also has very underrated speed; he can get open over the middle of the field, go up for the ball and flashes great top-end juice after the catch.     [player_tooltip player_id='2079133' first='Thomas' last='Nusbaum'] is a starting tight end for Northridge High School. Tall, strong and tough, he flashes soft hands in space and has ability to get yards after the catch and run through contact. Nusbaum also has a history of playing outside linebacker which is where his positional fit might be in college. Small school, high-academic prospect who flashes upside as a class of 2028 recruit.     Ben Reinhart has huge potential as a Class of 2027 prospect. A two way starter at tight end and defensive end, he flashes excellent strength as a run blocker with ability to encircle defenders at the corner, latch on and drive defenders off the ball. He is also a surprisingly-nimble edge prospect whose size, height and arm length is top-shelf. He flashes good first-step quickness and takes great angles to ballcarriers. No offers yet, but expect that to change in a big way. Had 20 tackles, one sack and two pass breakups with five catches for 40 yards on offense in 2025.     AJ Tyler is a starting left tackle for Muncie Central. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound prospect is a strong pass protector who can drop back, lateral set and mirror rushers off the edge, keeping them between his feet. He can also fire forward off the line of scrimmage, latch onto defenders be a force in the run game. Keep an eye on his development.
