With the rankings being updated in the coming weeks, we highlight a few of the NW's top freshman who excelled this past season, many of them at that the varsity level. There are numerous individuals not mentioned who will be listed on the rankings board. Have a look as we break down the offensive and defensive side of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1397350' first='Xavier' last='Berry'] 6-6 275 T Cascade Christian WA

The big man had a breakout off season garnering offers from the likes of Oregon, Washington, and San Jose St. Berry followed that up with an impressive freshman year on the O line while also making 13 tackles on D. He will be a big time national recruit in the years ahead.

[player_tooltip player_id='1969016' first='Keh'ano' last='Corpuz'] 6-0 160 WR Graham Kapowsin WA

Expect Corpuz to be in the POY conversation as early as next year. The numbers spoke for themselves this past season catching 49 passes for 661 yards and 4 TDs, to go with 13 tackles. GK will be a state title favorite in the years to come.

[player_tooltip player_id='1397315' first='Justin' last='Suega'] 6-4 190 WR Federal Way WA

What could be one of the most recruited WR's in the country. Suega already has offers from Washington and Sac St after blowing up on the 7v7 circuit as an 8th grader. The size and versatility at this age is just different.

[player_tooltip player_id='2065218' first='Siosaia' last='Malietufa'] 6-2 170 WR O'Dea WA

Malietufa will be a legit national prospect. As a freshman he garnered 2nd team all Metro honors for the 3A state champs, possessing size, speed, and a work ethic that can't be taught.

[player_tooltip player_id='1558034' first='Zane' last='Zellick'] 6-1 160 RB/ATH West Linn OR

One of the most talked about athletes in the 2026 class. Zellick has D1 genes and comes with a legit combination of size and speed. Expect him to score a bunch of TDs for the Lions over the course of his career.

[player_tooltip player_id='1557937' first='Jadis' last='Lefono'] 6-1 190 QB Lakes WA

Lefono was off the charts good all year for a Lakes team that finished 10-2. It's rare to have a freshman lead and dominate like he did, finishing the season with 27 TD's (17 passing, 10 rushing) with 2,196 total yards. His 6.35 yards per carry average speaks to his ridiculous athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id='2079646' first='Johnny' last='Jenkins'] 5-8 175 RB Willamette OR

Jenkins was one of the most impressive freshman in the entire NW, rushing 76 times for 477 yards (6.3 ypc) and 7 TDs for a Wolverines team that went undefeated in conference and 10-1 overall.

[player_tooltip player_id='2079648' first='Easton' last='Grubb'] 5-11 185 RB Tualatin OR

This kid was a machine putting up some of the most ridiculous numbers anywhere, even if it was freshman ball. Grubb's 41 TD's and 3100 all purpose yards were likely a record at that level. Him, [player_tooltip player_id='1609595' first='Iden' last='Rule'], and [player_tooltip player_id='937241' first='Cole' last='Hachmeister'] give the T-Wolves a trio of backs unlike any other in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='1509111' first='Jagger' last='Salazar'] 6-1 170 RB Lakeridge OR

Just a really good overall athlete with size and speed. Salazar is another individual who comes from a special family with D1 genes. He is the grandson of Boston Marathon winner Alberto Salazar. Look for him to be a factor next season at Lakeridge.

[player_tooltip player_id='2079657' first='CJ' last='Leiato'] 6-0 275 OL Auburn Riverside WA

This kid was a beast on the interior as a 9th grader. Leiato has elite strength for his age racking up 2nd team all conference honors on the O line, and adding 7 tackles, 2 TFL's, and a sack on D.

[player_tooltip player_id='1705963' first='Ronan' last='Crawford'] 6-6 255 OL West Linn OR

Expect Crawford to be a major D1 recruit with his ceiling being as high as anyone. The Lions have produced some of the best lineman ever to come out of the state and he could be another one.

[player_tooltip player_id='2079658' first='Ludolph' last='Misher'] 5-6 165 ATH Federal Way WA

Federal Way continues to produce elite athletes with the likes of Chico McClatcher, [player_tooltip player_id='726148' first='Zamarie' last='Tellez'], and potentially Misher. The undersized slot consistently made plays this past season, totaling 580 yards and 8 TDs on 37 touches (20 rushes, 17 receptions) at the varsity level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1906030' first='Drew' last='Sorensen'] 6-2 175 QB Woodinville WA

Sorensen projects as one of the top QB's in Washington for his class, earning all Kingco honors as a freshman. He hit on 66% of his passes, averaging close to 250 yards passing per contest, with 11 TDs in 5 games.

[player_tooltip player_id='570837' first='Jagger' last='McEwen'] 6-3 175 QB Kamiakin WA

The young QB didn't miss a beat as a freshman hitting on 100/177 passes for 1,658 yards and 21 TDs/8 INTs at the varsity level. Expect to hear a lot about him in the years ahead after leading his team to a 9-3 record.

[player_tooltip player_id='1803047' first='Timothy' last='Woodard'] Jr. 6-1 160 ATH Emerald Ridge WA

You have to like the size as a freshman and what he did for a young Jags team. Woodard Jr. caught passes for 12 passes for 74 yards and a TD. Sky's the limit.

[player_tooltip player_id='2079649' first='Cade' last='Ellis'] 6-7 285 OL Silverton OR

His Hudl film has him listed as Cade "Shrek" Ellis which seems appropriate. Silverton continues to be one of the most impressive and consistent programs in the state, winning another 5A title this past season. He projects as a major prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='2079650' first='Cayde' last='Campbell'] 6-0 180 QB Tualatin OR

The T-Wolves have had some good QB's come through highlighted by recent BYU commit Nolan Keeney. Campbell could be as good as any of them, with Tualatin featuring an elite up and coming group that he will lead.

[player_tooltip player_id='1720607' first='Colton' last='Potter'] 5-11 170 WR Tualatin OR

Potter comes from a talented family and projects as one of the better receivers in the TRL. He could be a double-digit TD guy each season as a junior and senior.

[player_tooltip player_id='2079652' first='Kyler' last='Levrets'] 6-2 170 QB Lake Oswego OR

Lake O continues to produce D1 athletes with Levrets having that type of potential. He comes from a talented family with his dad being a division 1 basketball coach and mom a D1 athlete as well. He is one to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='2079659' first='Chrisian' last='Pulu'] 5-11 295 OL Eastside Catholic WA

Pulu earned honorable mention all conference honors as a freshman for one of the top 3A programs in the state. His projection will depend on continued growth, but the kid can play.

[player_tooltip player_id='2079660' first='Corbin' last='Williams'] 6-4 205 TE Emerald Ridge WA

There isn't necessarily a lot known about Williams yet but his elite size and projection at TE make him a noteworthy prospect. On the season he caught 3 passes for 45 yards a TD.

[player_tooltip player_id='1564852' first='Landon' last='Benner'] 5-9 165 QB Nelson OR

Benner leads an elite freshman group at Nelson as an undersized QB. The Hawks established themselves as one of the top programs in the state this past season and that trend should continue.
