PRZ Stock Up Showcase: Who’s Coming To Grants?

Many top players have already registered and are looking forward to competing against other talented players. Here are 10 top players who have already registered:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1688720' first='William' last='Anchondo'], Highland</strong>: The speedy sophomore had a solid season for the Hornets, who reached the 5A quarterfinals. Anchondo rushed for close to 900 yards and 9 TD, serving as the perfect No. 2 back behind [player_tooltip player_id='1137423' first='Jose' last='Tapia']. Great speed to the corner. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1827269' first='Dexter' last='Chapman'], Texico</strong>: Just a sophomore, Chapman is already a physical specimen at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds. He helped lead Texico to the 2A state title by earning First-Team All-District honors at defensive end. Potential D1 prospect.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1720592' first='Julian' last='Fernandez'], Grants</strong>: One of the top 2029 prospects in the state. As a freshman this past season, he rushed for over 800 yards and 14 TD. Rushed for 100+ yards in three consecutive games against Taos, Moriarty and Bernalillo. Impresisve. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1594010' first='Jahleel' last='Lewis'], Sandia</strong>: The Matadors could be one of the most improved teams in the Albuquerque Metro region in 2026, and Lewis is a major reason for that sentiment. He's 6-foot-3, 210 pounds with a rocket arm. Threw for about 2,000 yards this season. &nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1686972' first='Chris' last='Lopez'], La Cueva</strong>: One of the fastest players in the Albuquerque Metro Region. Showed off his exceptional speed in the 6A quarterfinals when he caught 8 passes for 149 yards and 1 TD at Centennial. Emerging as one of the top 2028 prospects in the state.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1155132' first='Aiden' last='Maldonado'], Sandia</strong>: Maldonado has been impressive in previous Prep Redzone showcase camps in Grants. He enjoyed an outstanding season for the Matadors on defense, collecting 51 tackles, 13.0 TFL, 4.5 sacks and 8 QB hurries. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1155116' first='Jahari' last='Morehead'], Eldorado</strong>: Who will run the fastest 40 in Grants? Morehead is certainly one of the favorites along with [player_tooltip player_id='1686972' first='Chris' last='Lopez'] (see above). Morehead is one of the most dynamic offensive players in the Albuquerque Metro Region. This past season, he had 67 receptions for 866 yards&nbsp; and 9 TD, rushed for nearly 400 yards and returns two kicks for touchdowns. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Marcos Perea-Ochoa, West Mesa</strong>: Dynamic receiver for the Mustangs with 26 receptions for 540 yards and 8 TD. Averaged close to 21 yards per reception. Definitely a next level talent. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1129687' first='Jonah' last='Villegas'], Pojoaque Valley</strong>: One of the most exciting players in Northern New Mexico when &nbsp;he has the ball in his hands. Excellent speed. Missed the first half of the season with a shoulder injury, but excelled in the second half and helped propel Pojoaque Valley to its first home playoff game in school history. &nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1672571' first='Derrick' last='Warren'], Artesia</strong>: Made the most of his one season leading the Artesia offense. Threw for 2,874 yards and 39 TD while completing 62 percent of his passes. Led the Bulldogs to the 5A championship. Great leader.
