Prep Redzone AL's 2025 All-State Team: QB Selections

What an incredible season! With the year coming to an end, it's time for us to give our All-State selections!   Today, we're focusing on some of the most dominant passers in the state!   You won't want to miss out on this group of talent. Be sure to check out their film below. Now, here we go:   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">7A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='216690' first='Trent' last='Seaborn'] has been unstoppable over at Thompson since his 8th-grade year; it's only right we have him as our selection in the 7A.   “Seaborn has a terrific understanding of his offense and what to do with the ball- he scans the entire field, makes great decisions, and quickly gets the ball out, never putting it in harm's way. On top of his mental attributes, Seaborn has a heck of an arm he uses to make difficult throws all over the field- he's a top-tier passer with tons of talent and potential.“   Seaborn was terrific this year, completing 71% of his passes for 3692 yards and 35 TDs: 7 INT and another 5 TDs on the ground.   Seaborn committed to Alabama a few months back and has another dominant season for Thompson ahead next fall. Make sure you watch some of his film in the meantime.     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">6A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='472861' first='Jamison' last='Roberts']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/jamison-roberts/"></a> was one of the breakout stars of the season, leading Saraland to an undefeated year and dominating all year long.   “Roberts has some serious arm talent and throws the ball really well- he has a quick release, plenty of arm strength, and the accuracy to hit his WRs anywhere on the field. Roberts can complete some seriously impressive throws- consistently fitting the ball into tight windows, making tough throws on the run, and taking the tops off of defenses with his ability to push the ball downfield.   Roberts is also really athletic and can make a lot happen with his legs. He's fantastic at avoiding pressure when the pocket collapses and uses his speed and mobility to outrun pass rushers, never putting drives in jeopardy.“   Roberts was unstoppable this year. He completed 73% of his passes for 3370 yards and 37 TDs: 5 INT, with another 641 yards and a TD on the ground.   If you haven't watched Roberts before, make sure you check out his film below. He's a talented QB picking up a ton of attention from schools at the next level.     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">5A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1610264' first='Landyn' last='Smith']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/landyn-smith-2/"></a> is a talented passer who's coming off another dominant season for St. Clair County this fall.   "Smith, a left-handed QB, can shred opposing secondaries with his arm talent. Smith has a live arm capable of making some big-time throws. He has excellent touch and accuracy and frequently completes difficult throws along the sideline, across the middle, and deep downfield to his WRs.   Smith does an excellent job of placing the ball only where his targets can make a play on it. You can see it when he's throwing goal-line fades or over the top of secondaries- he's constantly helping his WRs create huge game-changing plays. Smith can also produce under pressure; he's great at avoiding defenders in the pocket and can make some sweet throws on the run."   This fall, Smith completed 66% of his passes for 2511 yards and 33 TDs:8 INT, with another 200+ yards and 3 TDs on the ground.   Smith has been really exciting to watch these last two seasons. He's put together some impressive film you can check out below:     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">4A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1015233' first='Gunner' last='Rivers']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/gunner-rivers/"></a> is a really talented QB from Saint Michael's Catholic who's made our list once again as our 4A selection.   "Rivers has been one of the most productive passers in the state over the last few years   At 6'2 175, Rivers has great size, serious arm talent, and a terrific understanding of the game- all of which help him carve up defenses across the state. I love how Rivers throws the ball. He's accurate, can push his throws downfield, and does an excellent job finding and hitting his targets in stride- leading to massive plays for his offense."   Rivers had another unbelievable season. He completed 69% of his passes for 3176 yards and 46 TDs: 5 INT with another 200 yards and a TD on the ground.   Rivers has some seriously impressive film you can watch below:     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">3A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='222965' first='Davis' last='Barnett']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/davis-barnett/"></a> was unstoppable in his debut season for Bayside Academy this fall, leading the 3A in multiple passing categories and taking his team all the way to the state championship   “Barnett is a really impressive passer who can make some impressive plays from the pocket and on the run. Barnett is mobile, great at navigating the pocket, can escape pressure, and can create some huge throws when on the move.   I'm impressed with Barnett's accuracy- he has great ball placement and fits the ball through tight windows to his WRs, consistently allowing them to haul in passes while in stride and make plays after the catch. Barnett is definitely one to watch – he has some serious arm talent and is a quick processor who makes great decisions with the ball. Be on the lookout for him going forward.“   Barnett really turned a lot of heads this season, including some collegiate programs. He completed 64% of his passes for 3462 yards and 45 TDs: 12 INT.   Barnett put together an incredible season this fall. Make sure you check out some of his film below. He'll most definitely be one of the top QBs in the state heading into next year.     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">2A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='2087411' first='Mark' last='Norris'] is an exciting junior QB out of Tuscaloosa Academy who made some really impressive plays for his team's passing game this fall.   "Norris is quick to process. He does a great job scanning every level of the field to find open receivers, hitting them in stride, and constantly moving the ball downfield. Norris also has some impressive ball placement. He can fit passes into some tight windows and does an excellent job leading his guys on deeper passes, putting them only where they can make a play on it.   On top of that, Norris has the speed, mobility, and elusiveness to carve up defenses on the ground as well. He can easily avoid pressure and evade defenders in the open field- his dual threat abilities make him such a tough player to stop."   Norris had an impressive year, completing 67% of her passes for 2525 yards and 25 TDs: 9 INTs and recorded another 966 yards and 9 TDs on the ground. He'll be a huge asset for TA's offense heading into next year.     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">1A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1584638' first='Gage' last='Davis'] is a talented QB out of Florala who's been one of the top QBs in the 1A the last two or so years.   "At 5'10 160, Davis is slightly undersized, but more than makes up for it with his dynamic talents as a passer. As a sophomore, Davis really impresses me- he plays with a ton of confidence, has great arm talent, and is willing to do whatever it takes to move the chains.   It's really impressive watching Davis perform under pressure; he can avoid defenders in the pocket, extend plays, and make some really impressive throws through contact."   Davis had another great year, completing 60% of his passes for 2358 yards, 25 TDs, and 8 INTs.   If you haven't checked out some of Davis' film before, make sure you check him out below.
