Five Step-Up KLAA Prospects

There's a great chance that these five prospects take a considerable step up in 2026. This past season, all of these guys did their jobs at the Varsity or JV level. In 2026, I expect all these prospects to be quality Varsity starters.    This season, Cameron served as a solid offensive guard. Above all else, he displayed good anchor and above-average power at the position. In several pass blocking highlights, Cameron does a great job anchoring himself and being a brick wall. He does a nice job of keeping his pad level low and delivering a strong initial punch. Additionally, Cameron has a few good highlights pulling and blocking at the second level.      Aoun put another solid season under his belt. Pass blocking, Aoun again did a great job anchoring and barely allowing any pressure from up the middle. Good job to Aoun for keeping his pad level low, hands up, and feet square. In addition, Aoun has several base blocks, double teams, and combo blocks on tape. He's a tad more agile than you'd expect, and does a solid job getting off his first man, then working to the second level. Considering Aoun's size, he could be a prospect this offseason.      Hunter shows potential on both sides of the ball. This season on JV, he put up a handful of good defensive highlights. The tape kicks off with a tough INT. Hunter does a good job sticking with his receiver on the fade and perfectly tracks the football before hauling it in. Second, a super high IQ interception, moving to the flat and cutting off the slow-moving pass. Hunter is a ball hawk, and his biggest strength may be his IQ.   Moving forward, I'd really like to see Hunter improve with his all-around athletic ability. Upgrades to speed, acceleration, and change of direction would take his game to new heights.      This season, Coen did a great job stuffing the run and defending the dep pass from his safety position.   0:28 and 0:52 show great interceptions against Brighton. The first INT, Coen correctly reads the overthrown ball, and he simply tracks the pass and catches it like any receiver. At 0:52, Coen is able to turn around, find the ball in the air, and realize it's underthrown. Because of the air under the ball, Coen is easily able to cut off the pass and force another big turnover.   Then, there's the aggressive run-stopping. 1:08 showcases a good tackle against a dangerous Howell offense. Coen begins his tackle a little early, but is still able to explode forward, wrap up, and force a 3rd down. Then, at 1:15, Coen does a nice job working downhill, and stopping the QB run at the second level.   A good highlight tape from Coen. If Coen tests well at camps, I could absolutely see him earning college attention.      Ryan has put up a solid JV highlight tape. He has promise, and could be a good Varsity QB as soon as the 2026 season.   Ryan's tape begins with a flawless throw to his RB running a wheel route. Good velocity on the throw, in addition to catching his RB perfectly in stride. Second, the highlight at 0:29 showcases a good throw to the middle of the field. Good job by Ryan seeing the open man on the dig, and throwing over the LBs to complete the pass.   Generally, I like Ryan's velocity and accuracy on this highlight tape. He can push the football downfield and do so with nice precision. In 2026, I'd like to see more consistent mechanics in addition to better timing.
