He can run well outside the tackles, has a good feel for the game and can cover in the flats and triggers quickly on ball carriers. In space, he shows he can redirect and has good open field tackling abilities while taking proper angles in the open field and is a very high motor guy. He is a excellent open field tackler, covers a ton of ground quickly and has closing speed and attacks ball carriers with violence at the POA. He shows disciplined eyes before breaking, natural ball skills and return abilities and is very effective in space and when coming downhill to fill in the box. His length, range and open field long speed make him a very balanced player and should draw plenty of next level interest this off-season. In pass rush situations, he has a great first step to gain ground, natural bend around the corner and can counter back inside if needed and is a high motor guy that shows backside pursuit and proper angles as well. He shows he can scrape over the top of tackles before filling, navigate through traffic on his way to ball carriers and shows solid change of direction and hip fluidity in coverage. Pahulu is a high motor kid that flys around outside the tackles, can make plays behind the line when applying pressure off the edge or up the middle and knife into the backfield and shows closing speed and excellent tackling abilities both in the box and open field.
