<p>This report focused on Kansas defenders who tallied at least 100 tackles during the junior prep seasons.</p>

<p>It is not an all-inclusive list, as several teams don't release public stats.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1124985' first='Kale' last='Kern']</strong>, LB, 6'1”, 225, Great Bend</p>

<p>The Panthers' junior recorded 137 tackles in 12 games played. He also registered 14 tackles for lost yardage and two quarterback sacks. He is ranked No. 10 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027 and is the top-ranked linebacker by Prep Redzone Kansas.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1612730' first='Kyler' last='Barker']</strong>, LB, 5'10”, 150, Pratt</p>

<p>Pratt's Barker finished his junior season with 129 tackles in 11 games for the Greenbacks. He also tallied 6.5 TFLs. He is ranked No. 365 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2067439' first='Jameson' last='Barnes']</strong>, LB, 6'3”, 215, Lansing</p>

<p>Barnes is ranked No. 97 overall and the No. 12-ranked linebacker in the Class of 2027. He finished with 121 tackles in nine games played for the Lions. He also collected three quarterback sacks, one interception, and one fumble recovery.</p>

<p><a><strong>Charlie Peek</strong>, LB, 6'1”, 195, Basehor-Linwood</a></p>

<p>The Bobcats had a stingy defense this season, and at the heart of it was Peek. He recorded 115 tackles in 11 games during his junior campaign. He also registered two TFLs, two pass breakups, and one fumble recovery. He is currently an unranked prospect.</p>

<p><strong>Camryn White</strong>, ATH, 5'10”, 175, Neodesha</p>

<p>White finished among the state leaders in tackles, but had an impactful season on both sides of the ball for the Blue Streaks. He accumulated 114 tackles in nine games. He picked off two passes and recovered two fumbles. On the flip side, he rushed for 420 yards and eight touchdowns, while catching 21 balls for 265 yards and two scores. White is currently unranked.</p>

<p>McDiffett reached 113 tackles in 10 games played for the Braves. He finished with nine TFLs, one interception, and one pass breakup. He is ranked No. 307 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027.</p>

<p>Daniels is the No. 8-ranked linebacker and ranked No. 60 overall in the Class of 2027. He is solid against the run and the pass. He recorded 109 total tackles, 14 TFLs, two quarterback sacks, one interception, and broke up four passes.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2067467' first='Max' last='Evans-Pryor']</strong>, LB, 6'0”, 190, Manhattan</p>

<p>Manhattan's Evans-Pryor registered 108 tackles for the Class 6A State Champion Indians. He bushwhacked the opposition 21.5 times behind the line of scrimmage. He also recorded 6.5 quarterback sacks, one interception, three pass breakups, and recovered one fumble. He is ranked No. 59 overall among his Class of 2027 peers and is the seventh-ranked linebacker.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1594489' first='Joshua' last='Duerksen']</strong>, LB, 5'11”, 200, Hesston</p>

<p>Duerksen mowed down ball carriers for the Swathers during his junior season. He tallied 107 tackles in 10 games played, which translates to five bushels of tackles (I just had to). The Hesston backer is a grinder and is ranked No. 240 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1275247' first='Alex' last='Huston']</strong>, LB, 6'3”, 235, Seaman</p>

<p>Seaman's backer had a strong defensive season playing in my backyard. The Viking backer is ranked No. 82 overall and is the No. 9-ranked linebacker. He finished his junior season with 106 tackles in nine games played.</p>

<p><strong>Jadian Smith</strong>, DB, 5'8”, 157, Wichita Heights</p>

<p>Smith is an unranked defensive back who posted solid numbers for the Falcons. He registered 106 tackles in nine games for Heights.</p>

<p><strong>Cash Warren</strong>, LB, 6'1”, 225, Olathe West</p>

<p>Another unranked defender who reached the 100-tackle plateau is Olathe West's Warren. He wrapped up opposing ball carriers 105 times in 10 games. He recorded 15 TFLs, four quarterback sacks, and recovered one fumble for the Owls. (I have to do it again) “Show Me The Money,” Cash!</p>

<p><strong>Kason Landes</strong>, LB, 6'1”, 190, Hesston</p>

<p>Hesston had a pair of junior backers reach 100 tackles. Landes finished his season with 104 tackles in 10 games. Eleven of those tackles resulted in lost yardage. Landes is also a ball hawk, recovering two fumbles and breaking up three pass attempts. He is currently unranked.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='944905' first='Drake' last='Blasi']</strong>, LB, 5'11”, 200, Maize</p>

<p>Blasi took flight this season for the Eagles. He collected 104 tackles in 11 games for Maize. He now has 177 tackles in two seasons. He is ranked No. 48 overall and the fifth-ranked linebacker in the Kansas Class of 2027.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1597339' first='Nathan' last='McClung']</strong>, LB, 5'8”, 175, Christ Prep Academy</p>

<p>McClung recorded 103 tackles in 13 games for the Patriots. He tallied three quarterback sacks and nine TFLs. He is ranked No. 224 overall by Prep Redzone.</p>
