It has been a really fun weekend of watching the state title games. We want you to check out some players who have been doing a good job.

Xavian Pittman

Pittman was the MVP of the 1A championship game. He is a running back who was all over the field for Calhoun City High School. Pittman is a player who is definitely going to go on our radar. This stud does a really good job of making big plays when they really matter. He was all over the field for his team. It was really hard getting him to the ground.

[player_tooltip player_id='1649182' first='Derwin' last='Fields']

Fields did a good job of helping his team stop the run this past Thursday night. He is a top player from Brookhaven High School. Fields is long with good strength. He was a force on his team's line when West Point High School was trying to run the football against him. Fields was able to make sure that West Point did not get in the groove of running the football.

Caiden Quarles

Quarles is the quarterback for Brookhaven Brookhaven. He went out there and did an amazing job of leading his team to a 5A state title. He did what his community knew he could do. There will be no doubt about his name going down in Brookhaven football history after defeating a defense like the one Brookhaven has. This kid deserves the key to the city.

Nash Morgan

We cannot end this article without talking about Mr. Morgan from Warren Central. Morgan was phenomenal for his team during their championship win. He was making big throws and running the football. He made sure that Warren Central put their foot on the gas after halftime. Be sure to know this young man.

Tra Lewis

Lewis is a player who recorded over 150 sacks this season. He scored the game winning touchdown for Columbia High School in their 4A state title victory over Poplarville High School. Lewis is a linebacker, but we saw him making plays all over the field today. His coach said that he is the best player in 4A. The best make it to the last game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1646010' first='Jeremy' last='Bibbs']

Bibbs is a linebacker from Brookhaven who is dangerous on the field. He is going to come up and fill those holes. You are not going to want your running back having too many head up battles with him. He is a 6-foot-3, 220-pound guy who is a division one play. College coaches need to go ahead and get their eyes on him.

Rowdy Rone

Kosciusko did not win the game but Rowdy Rone was making a lot of plays on defense. His coaches should be proud of him. He made sure that he was coming up to stick his head in some action every time that the football was handed off. He did his best to help keep his team in this game. Rone is a linebacker we will be keeping up with.

[player_tooltip player_id='1120623' first='Ashton' last='Daniels']

Daniels is an athlete from Columbia who helped his team a lot today. He was putting them in the right position to make plays when they needed them. Every time he got the football, you could see that he was picking up a lot of steam. He did not score a touchdown in their game, but his presence was felt.

Demarious Pittman

Pittman did a good job of playing on both sides of the football for his team. He never did give up on plays. When things were looking bad for Pittman, he made sure that he stepped his game up for his squad. With a player like him on your team, you are never out of the game.
