With the Elite All-State Team taken care of, we'll spend the month of December handing out Class All-State awards. Now, we move to the offensive side of the ball in 3A.

In writing these articles, we want to cast a wider net, expanding on the names that have already been established as the best of the best across classes, so we won't repeat names that were already listed on the Elite Team.

QUARTERBACK

[player_tooltip player_id='1850755' first='Hudson' last='Krukow'], SR, Central Dewitt

One of the most prolific and efficient passers in all of 3A, Krukow completed 176-of-249 passes (70.7%) for a 3A-leading 2,399 yards, 27 touchdowns and nine picks. Part of a balanced offensive attack, believe it or not, Krukow also took 40 carries for 148 yards and five scores.

RUNNING BACKS

[player_tooltip player_id='1238514' first='Kasen' last='Thomas'], SR, Bishop Heelan

A Power 4 linebacker signee with the University of Iowa, Thomas was elite on both sides of the ball for a good chunk of his career with Heelan, and it only continued into his senior campaign. A shifty, violent, explosive athlete, Thomas took 217 carries for 1,405 yards and a 3A leading 23 touchdowns this season. He added nine catches for 87 yards and a score.

[player_tooltip player_id='1656855' first='Adam' last='Malik'], JR, Carroll

The only player to outrush Thomas this season -- and doing so in just ten games, Malik was the bell cow back for the Tigers this season. He put together just under half of Carroll's offensive yards and touchdowns this season, taking 207 carries for 1,514 yards and 18 touchdowns, averaging 7.3 yards per carry.

WIDE RECEIVERS

[player_tooltip player_id='1532898' first='Maddox' last='Kelley'], JR, Solon

If there was a dominant wide receiver in 3A this season, it was Kelley. He may not have had the most receptions or yards in 3A, but [player_tooltip player_id='1241515' first='Eli' last='Kampman']'s go-to receiver caught 50 passes for 702 yards and the most touchdown receptions in 3A with 14. A versatile playmaker, Kelley had better season running the ball than a large contingent of running backs, too. He took 64 carries for 371 yards and 12 scores.

[player_tooltip player_id='1850786' first='Jameson' last='Gregoire'], JR, Central Dewitt

One of the primary beneficiaries of Krukow's outlandishly productive senior campaign, [player_tooltip player_id='1850786' first='Jameson' last='Gregoire'] grabbed 45 receptions (somehow second on the Sabers' roster) for a 3A-leading 858 yards (19.1 yards per catch) and 11 touchdowns. He finished third in the class in yards per catch and second in total touchdowns receptions to Kelley.

TIGHT END

[player_tooltip player_id='1242280' first='John' last='Nelson'], SR, Nevada

One of the most productive tight ends in 3A and a key piece of Nevada's state title run on both sides of the ball, Nelson and his 6-foot-5, 205-pound frame were a constant threat as a pass-catcher and blocked well for the Cub rushing attack. Tied for the fourth-most touchdown receptions in 3A with nine, nearly half of Nelson's 23 catches were touchdowns. He finished the season with 346 yards.

OFFENSIVE LINE

Jaycee Rangel-Bello, SR, Nevada

Throughout Nevada's run to the state championship, running back [player_tooltip player_id='1242256' first='Austin' last='Waldera'] got much of the attention (as he should, he took 268 yards for 1,397 yards and eight touchdowns). Acting as a pulling guard, Rangel-Ballo helped pave the way for Waldera and establish dominance up front all the way to the state title.

[player_tooltip player_id='1242258' first='Isaac' last='Harrington'], SR, Nevada

The Cubs repeatedly ran off their left tackle, Harrington with Rangel-Bello pulling from his right guard spot. The Grandview commit set the tone for the Cubs on the ground as the initial blocker that set the edge for the Cubs.

Max Aesoph, JR, Bishop Heelan

Another OL that helped push his team to a state championship appearance, Max Aesoph was one of few Heelan linemen that kept [player_tooltip player_id='1222862' first='Noah' last='Conley'] upright in the state title. Additionally, Thomas wouldn't have had the monstrous season he did on the ground if it weren't for Aesoph.

[player_tooltip player_id='1242824' first='Gavin' last='Holt'], SR, Carroll

Much of the same could be said about Holt, who was critical in establishing the run and getting push for Malik to get going. As a team, Carroll ran the ball for 2,456 yards on the ground, adding 35 scores.

[player_tooltip player_id='1361129' first='Cole' last='Nohrenberg'], SR, Webster City

One of the most run-heavy offensive operations in the state, Webster City had three different ball-carriers with over 100 carries, finishing with 438 as a team despite not reaching the playoffs. Standing at 6-foot-1 and 280 pounds, Nohrenberg could take on multiple defenders and plow room for his offense to work on the ground.

With the Elite All-State Team taken care of, we'll spend the month of December handing out Class All-State awards. Now, we move to the offensive side of the ball in 3A.
