While the state of Florida is certainly a destination for college coaches to flock to – year-round – the quarterback position was never a high priority when it came to recruiting.

As receivers, defensive backs and other skill positions were always the target of colleges and universities across the country, the quarterback position was truly not something that many concerned themselves with.

Because there are so many athletes in the Sunshine State, several programs would place their best player at the quarterback position because of the speed and the play-making abilities. Many would then head off to college as receivers, running backs or placed in the defensive secondary. But that has all changed.

Many top-flight quarterbacks from Florida have not only made it to a high level of college play, but over the past 10-15 years we are seeing more and more continue on and perform in the National Football League.

As we have brought you to different regions of this state this summer and fall and shine a spotlight on several positions, today we take you in the Panhandle and check out some of the quarterbacks who made an impact during this 2025 season – with many leading their teams into the state playoffs.
