It was an electric regular season statewide with plenty of breakout and legacy-establishing stories. While there were many newfound trends across the Lone Star State over the last few months, one thing remained the same: Central Texas signal callers continued to dominate. While all ages shone at the helm across the region, let's recap five of the class of 2026 quarterbacks who had a prolific final regular season.

With a large, strong frame, Taylor is a true gunslinger with great downfield arm strength and the athleticism and awareness to extend plays with his legs. The two-sport star excels at rolling out right and hitting receivers in stride deep down the sideline. Cole showcases the ability to put balls into tight windows just outside the reach of defensive backs. He also often seemingly has eyes in the back of his head, evading pressure out of the pocket and zipping strikes downfield. The Panthers' offensive leader possesses the speed and vision to take off occasionally as well. Taylor was dynamic as a passer this season with 39 TD passes and nearly 2,900 yards, along with 72 rushing yards and 4 TDs on the ground. As he and the Panthers prepare for a Round 1 battle vs. Sam Houston, Cole holds offers from Howard Payne, ETBU, and MH-Baylor.

Evans is a polished dual-threat QB who showcases stellar mechanics and fluid, instinctive running when extending plays. Kase displays great pocket presence, flashing a smooth, quick release and the ability to step up and deliver strikes downfield in the face of pressure. He throws the ball with great anticipation and touch inside and outside of the numbers, regardless of whether the pocket is clean or not. Evans excels at hitting his receivers in the chest pad through seemingly impossible windows, slinging it with velocity over the middle of the field. Kase has been extremely effective through the air and the ground this season, stacking over 2,700 total yards and 32 TD, to only 4 interceptions. The Iowa State Cyclone commit will look to lead his Eagles to a deep playoff run. Watch out for pivotal plays from #1 with his arm and legs.

Another downright gunslinger, Stefek loves to lead his receivers both down the seams and outside the numbers in stride with deep touch passes. He does a great job of sifting through the pocket, going through his progressions, and zipping in timely, accurate passes to his playmakers. Kaden thrives at picking up man coverages and hitting receivers out of their breaks. For as polished a pocket passer as he is, Stefek also provides value on the ground, extending plays when needed. During his final regular season, the Hippos' signal caller totaled nearly 3,000 yards and 37 total touchdowns. Holding offers from Lamar, McMurry, and Saint Anselm, Stefek will look to lead his explosive offense to a state title run.

A little Baker Mayfield-Esque, Morgan thrives in scrambling from sideline to sideline and launching balls downfield off his back foot and from an array of arm angles. London is a true showstopper with the throws he can make at all levels of the field. He boasts a big arm and plenty of athleticism as a runner, displaying surprising acceleration and lateral change of direction on the ground. With 4.7 speed, Morgan is not a QB you want to allow outside of the pocket. London's senior campaign was statistically remarkable, compiling over 3,000 total yards and 37 touchdowns, along with a mere 3 interceptions. Morgan will take his talents to the Navy Midshipmen after a hopefully deep Raiders' playoff run.

Rose has been a stat-stuffing dynamic playmaker for the Antlers this season. Colin showcases effortless arm strength, thriving at hitting wide receivers in stride down the seams. He also does a great job of sifting around the pocket and rolling out and extending plays with his startling speed when needed. Strong at reading zone defenses and taking what they give him, when it opens up deep, Rose can launch it with the best of them with a smooth release. With over 3,800 total yards and 47 touchdowns, Rose had a legendary regular season to cap his Antlers career. Recently picking up an offer from Schreiner, keep an eye on Colin to lead his offense in a playoff run.
