James Yauger 5'8" | 189 lbs | RB/LB/LB | 2027
FL

Florida has long been a hotbed of high school football talent. Annually, Florida produces some of the nation's top prospects. Florida athletes are known for their speed, agility, and raw athleticism. These prospects have made names for themselves and have caught the attention of coaches and scouts at the collegiate level. With the 2025 season getting closer, we're looking for players whose stock is rising in the state.

These players are all talented and have college-level abilities. Some of these players have a few offers, but all of them have the ability to play college football at some level.

There are some big-time, highly rated prospects and several sleeper prospects who should all be getting looks for the next level. This list is full of stud prospects.

Prep Redzone Florida will always support every player on their journey to playing college football.

Corban Butts – Port St. Joe High (c/o 2026)
Height/Weight: 5'9”, 185 lbs
Season Stats: 126 carries for 1,010 yards, 6 TDs

Scouting Report: Butts is a strong and compact runner with impressive balance through contact. He runs low to the ground, making him difficult to tackle on first contact, and shows great field vision when identifying cutback lanes. His downhill running style consistently moves the chains and wears down defenses.

Analysis: Butts embodies toughness and reliability in Port St. Joe's offense. His ability to grind out yards and stay productive against stacked boxes makes him a key piece in their ground game. Continued development as a receiver could make him a more versatile threat at the next level.

Bradley Franklin – Seven Rivers Christian (c/o 2026)
Height/Weight: 5'9”, 150 lbs
Season Stats: 130 carries for 1,147 yards, 6 TDs

Scouting Report: Franklin is a shifty and elusive runner who excels in space. His acceleration through the second level and ability to change direction effortlessly make him a big-play threat every time he touches the ball. Despite a lighter frame, he shows surprising toughness and durability.

Analysis: Franklin's speed and open-field quickness give him game-breaking potential. He fits best in a spread or motion-heavy system that allows him to use his agility in one-on-one matchups. With added strength, his already explosive playmaking ability could become even more dangerous.

[player_tooltip player_id='1681940' first='James' last='Yauger'] – Lake Buena Vista High (c/o 2026)
Height/Weight: 5'9”, 205 lbs
Season Stats: 128 carries for 1,061 yards, 9 TDs; 5 receptions for 80 yards

Scouting Report: Yauger runs with power and consistency between the tackles. His low center of gravity and leg drive allow him to push through contact and finish runs with authority. He has solid hands out of the backfield and contributes effectively in pass protection.

Analysis: Yauger's physical running style makes him a tone-setter for Lake Buena Vista. He brings a reliable all-around skill set with the toughness to handle heavy workloads. His combination of size and balance projects well for inside zone and power run schemes at the college level.

Peyton Hollern – Windermere Prep (c/o 2026)
Height/Weight: 5'9”, 195 lbs
Season Stats: 135 carries for 1,067 yards, 14 TDs; 12 receptions for 150 yards

Scouting Report: Hollern is a versatile back who thrives both as a runner and receiver. He shows great patience behind his blockers, burst through the hole, and excellent hands out of the backfield. His compact build gives him the power to break tackles and the balance to stay upright after contact.

Analysis: Hollern's dual-threat production makes him one of Central Florida's more complete backs. He has the vision, power, and football IQ to excel in multiple offensive systems. His combination of reliability and playmaking ability stands out among 2026 prospects.

Leonard Holton – Oak Plank Christian Academy (c/o 2026)
Height/Weight: 5'8”, 170 lbs
Season Stats: 108 carries for 1,039 yards, 9 TDs; 15 receptions for 161 yards, 3 TDs

Scouting Report: Holton is an explosive playmaker who can hurt defenses on the ground or through the air. His acceleration is immediate, and he has a knack for slipping through tight lanes. He's equally effective catching the ball out of the backfield, creating mismatches in open space.

Analysis: Holton's balance of speed, quickness, and versatility gives him big-play potential on any snap. His ability to impact the game in multiple ways makes him a dynamic weapon for Oak Plank's offense. Continued growth in physical strength will only elevate his game further.

Florida has long been a hotbed of high school football talent. Annually, Florida produces some of the nation's top prospects. Florida athletes are known for their speed, agility, and raw athleticism.
