#4 CHOCTAW (3-3) AT #1 STILLWATER (5-1)

Two of the best 6A-2 teams go head to head Thursday night as top-ranked Stillwater will host defending champion Choctaw. Both teams expect to be playing for the gold ball in December and this could very well be a preview of the state title game. The Pioneers have risen to the top spot in the 6A-2 rankings but Thursday's game will be their first contest where they have to play all four quarters since week three. Stillwater has dominated the first part of their district slate but now the competition starts to get ratcheted up. On the other side, you have the defending champs that have played all of their toughest games away from home. The record is 3-3 but this is still a team that is capable of being considered the best in Class 6A-2. They will come into Thursday's game expecting to win and a loss will put them out of contention for the district title.

#10 CLAREMORE (5-1) AT #8 COLLINSVILLE (5-1)

All eyes in Class 5A are once again on district four as #8 Collinsville hosts #10 Claremore. This district also features #2 Del City and #3 Pryor and both teams in this match-up have suffered setbacks against them. Collinsville lost a brutal road game against Del City in the final seconds. Claremore suffered their first loss of the year last week to Pryor. The Zebras will look to bounce back this week and they'll once again be led by their standout running back. And it will be like looking in a mirror as the Cardinals are also led by their standout running back and will lean on that running game Thursday night. The situation is very simple in this match-up. The winner will stay in the district title race but the loser is going to have to fight for their playoff lives down the stretch and will more than likely be looking at the four seed in the playoffs.

#4 DIBBLE (5-1) AT #3 HOLDENVILLE (6-0)

It's the game of the week in Class 2A-2 as #3 Holdenville looks to remain undefeated Thursday night when they host #4 Dibble. The Wolverines have been absolutely dominant so far this season. They've scored at least 44 points in every single game and their defense has pitched multiple shutouts. But this week's game with Dibble will be their toughest test of the season so far. Dibble has won five straight games since a week one loss to Minco. That winning streak is headlined by a 28-27 win over Davis in overtime. That win certainly opened a lot of eyes and Dibble is now being taken very seriously as a district title contender. For Holdenville, they are looking to take another step towards their second straight district title after taking it last year. For both teams, they want much more than just a district title this season.

#7 EDMOND MEMORIAL (5-1) AT #3 OWASSO (4-2)

#3 Owasso hosts #7 Edmond Memorial in the top 6A-1 match-up this week. The Rams have won four straight games since dropping their first two contests to the top two teams in 6A-1. Owasso's offense is on a roll, specifically in the last two weeks and they can beat defenses in multiple ways. They have one of the best running backs in Oklahoma and a passing attack that is getting better and better. They will go head to head with an Edmond Memorial squad that hangs their hat on the defensive side of the ball. The only loss the Bulldogs suffered this year was a high-scoring overtime affair where Norman North rallied to stun Edmond Memorial. Ever since then, the Bulldogs have been on a roll. A win on Thursday night will put Edmond Memorial in a position where they could potentially steal the district championship this year.

#1 ELGIN (6-0) AT #10 WEATHERFORD (5-1)

Top-ranked and defending champion Elgin will make the trip to Weatherford to face the #10 Eagles in a marquee 4A match-up. And when you look at this district and how Elgin has been playing this season, this could very well be the toughest challenge for the Owls before the playoffs. The defending champs have been absolutely dominant so far this season and they look like a team that's destined for another trip to Edmond. Weatherford could be a speed bump on the road to make it back to UCO. The Eagles are in a position where they have their backs against the wall. They dropped the district opener to Clinton in overtime and can't afford another district loss. The Eagles are 5-1 on the season and have played in just about every game. They've won blowouts, they've won overtime games and dropped an overtime game.

#4 HOMINY (4-2) AT #6 FAIRLAND (5-1)

Down in Class A-2, all eyes will be on this match-up as #4 Hominy hits the road to face #6 Fairland Thursday night. Both teams come into this week with 3-0 records in district play. For Hominy, it's an opportunity to take a massive step towards the district title after they just beat defending champion Woodland last week. Fairland still has Woodland on the schedule but a win Thursday will put Fairland in that conversation for the district championship. The Owls have been playing really good football this season, with their only loss coming to unbeaten Wyandotte. More on them later on in this feature. Hominy has bounced back from a brutal non-district schedule to look really impressive in the last few weeks. Both teams have plenty of firepower to look out for on the offensive side of the ball Thursday night.

#2 HOOKER (5-1) AT #8 FAIRVIEW (5-1)

Way out in western Oklahoma, we have a top ten showdown in Class A-1 as #2 Hooker travels to face #8 Fairview on Thursday night. The Bulldogs are riding high after handing Cashion their first loss of the 2025 season last week. They were led by a running game that combined for well over 400 yards and all seven touchdowns in the win. But they won't have the home field advantage on Thursday night when they face a Fairview team that is once again in the mix as one of the best in Class A-1. Despite losing a special senior class, they are right back in the hunt and there is no doubt that they haven't forgotten about the Hooker game last season. Their lengthy winning streak came to an end and Hooker would capture the district title. Hooker can put a stranglehold on the district with a win while Fairview will look to stun the Bulldogs at home.

#7 PLAINVIEW (5-1) AT #3 HERITAGE HALL (5-1) (FRIDAY)

It's the game of the week in Class 3A and the top game on Friday night this week. #3 Heritage Hall hosts #7 Plainview in a must-see district game. Both teams are 5-1 on the season and both suffered their only loss to a defending champion. Heritage Hall lost to defending 3A champ Lincoln Christian while Plainview dropped a game in overtime to defending 2A-2 champion Davis. Both teams are 3-0 in district play and the winner of Friday's game is going to have a really good position in the district standings moving forward. Plainview is a young but very talented team capable of pulling off the upset. But it would be an upset as Heritage Hall simply doesn't lose games in district play. It's been over a decade since the Chargers have lost in district play. You read that right. They've won 80+ district games in a row going into Friday.

#1 WASHINGTON (5-1) AT #4 MARLOW (5-0)

All eyes in Class 2A-1 will be on this district showdown as top-ranked Washington hits the road to face #4 Marlow on Thursday night. These two teams played an instant classic last season. And before the Warriors lost to Sulphur earlier this year, Marlow was the last team to beat Washington, all the way back in the 2021 state title game. Washington has won four straight since that week one loss to Sulphur and the last two games have been shutout victories. Marlow is a perfect 5-0 on the season and just like Washington, the Outlaws come into this week with two straight shutout victories. Now, we don't anticipate either team extending that shutout streak to three on Thursday night. The winner here will more than likely capture the district championship and both teams are serious contenders to win the state championship.

#7 WYANDOTTE (6-0) AT #8 SALINA (5-1)

Our final game on this breakdown is another showdown of top ten teams in Class 2A-2. #8 Salina plays host to #7 Wyandotte and for the Wildcats, they have no room for error after dropping the district opener to Adair in week four. Another loss more than likely puts Salina on the road in the first round of the playoffs and takes them out of the running for the district title. Salina has one of the best offenses in Class 2A-2 and they'll look to roll again Thursday. For Wyandotte, there have been no blemishes on the record as they come into this week at 6-0. They are still in the hunt for the district championship and they've won every game this season by double digits. They should be expecting a back and forth fight on Thursday night as both teams have shown the ability to light up the scoreboard and both teams are hungry to win.
