As we come down the home stretch of the regular season, it is all about placements for the playoffs at this point. Whether it's seeding or just trying to make it into the field, this week will go a long way in figuring out who will be able to make a run towards the state championship in Orangeburg.

Here's a look at 13 players you'll want to keep your eye on as we head into Friday's action:

JoJo Brooks ATH, Rock Hill and [player_tooltip player_id='1818213' first='Devan' last='Erby'] RB, Rock Hill

Brooks had a 27-yard touchdown reception from [player_tooltip player_id='1816896' first='Jonah' last='Young'] (pictured above) in the Bearcats' loss to Northwestern last week. Erby had a 34-yard touchdown run, and we saw him a few weeks ago against Nation Ford and he is a hard runner at the point of attack and we think he'll be a big part of the plan as the Bearcats travel to Catawba Ridge on Friday. Young is a playmaker with the ball in his hands and balance for the Bearcats will be key.

[player_tooltip player_id='1819992' first='Sequel' last='Patterson'] | ATH | Indian Land

Patterson had two touchdown receptions, one being a 10-yard TD reception from [player_tooltip player_id='1467825' first='Matt' last='Kucia'] in the Warriors' 35-0 shutout of Clover last week. [player_tooltip player_id='1042719' first='Hayden' last='Morris'] had a 5-yard reception from Kucia and another touchdown reception, while [player_tooltip player_id='1592288' first='Jamol' last='Horton'] had a 5-yard touchdown run as well. All three have been the straw that stirs the drink for the Indian Land offense, and a big reason why they are enjoying an 8-0 record heading into a matchup against Fort Mill on Friday.

[player_tooltip player_id='1165128' first='RJ' last='Brown'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1819627' first='J'Zavien' last='Currence'] ATH | South Pointe

Brown had three touchdown runs, all in the first half. One was a 14-yard run for a touchdown in the Stallions' 48-7 win over Lancaster last week. He is a guy that Dreher will need to be aware of heading into Friday's matchup. Currence continued his hot streak at the quarterback position for the Stallions, scoring on a 47-yard run & 2-yard run in the win as well. He is playing his best football at the right time as region play draws to a close.

Mark Blakeney and [player_tooltip player_id='1824256' first='Curtis' last='Dayson'] RB | Catawba Ridge

The duo scored a touchdown each in the Copperheads loss to Nation Ford last week. They have split carries throughout the season and they can take the pressure off of [player_tooltip player_id='1824261' first='Bradey' last='Compton'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1824265' first='Will' last='Griggs'] who have also split time at quarterback throughout region play. We think whoever can get the hot hand not only gives the offense an advantage, but the entire team one in this critical game between the Bearcats and Copperheads this week.
