Last week we saw some teams begin to create some separation between the others in the region, and we've got some critical matchups coming up this week that will determine how things will shake out over the next few weeks in region play.

Here's a look at 10 players you'll want to keep your eye on as we head into Week 7:

[player_tooltip player_id='1822439' first='Jakobe' last='Starks'] | ATH | Chester

Starks is someone that if he gets into the open field, it could be a house call. He had a 54-yard rushing touchdown in the Cyclones' rout of Eau Claire last week. We expect that he will be more involved heading into a big matchup against Fairfield Central at home on Friday.

[player_tooltip player_id='1820778' first='Jeremiah' last='Cannon'] | DL | Northwestern

Cannon led the Trojans in tackles with 7.5 and two tackles for loss and a sack in the win over Clover. [player_tooltip player_id='1149051' first='Kamerin' last='McFadden'] (7.5) and [player_tooltip player_id='595706' first='Darrell' last='Harrison'] (5.5) were second and third on the team in tackles, and will be a factor against Fort Mill at home this week.

[player_tooltip player_id='1635014' first='Malachi' last='Drayton'] | RB | Nation Ford

Drayton is a steady presence in the backfield for the Falcons, and he had a short touchdown in the Falcons' 34-25 loss to Indian Land last week. He and [player_tooltip player_id='1821310' first='Patience' last='Andrews'] will be key to provide balance as they head into a key region 3-5A matchup at home against Rock Hill.

[player_tooltip player_id='1592521' first='Kason' last='Canupp'] | QB | Nation Ford

Canupp ran for a touchdown and connected with [player_tooltip player_id='1821733' first='Jayden' last='Scott'] (pictured above) for a 40-yard touchdown, as he went 19-of-29 and 221 yards. Scott had 140 yards on 10 receptions and he is a speedster on the outside, and he is someone that the Bearcats will have to be aware of.

[player_tooltip player_id='1267330' first='Jacorreun' last='Howze'] | ATH | Lewisville

Howze had five touchdowns in the Lions' 67-16 rout of CA Johnson, where he ran for over 100 yards on the night. He will look to build on that performance as they take on Lee Central at home.

[player_tooltip player_id='1270438' first='Connor' last='McFadden'] | DL | Catawba Ridge

McFadden has a motor that is running at all times. He can come up in run support and limit the play for a short gain, or he can move his hands well to get pressure on the quarterback and get sacks. The Copperheads return from a bye week with a big matchup against Indian Land at home, and he'll be counted on.
