The state of Washington is going to churn out several bluechip prospects over the next few years.

So, it should come as no surprise that the Washington Huskies have turned home games into a “who's who” of the top in-state prospects.

This weekend, class of 2027 Lincoln quarterback - and four-star prospect - [player_tooltip player_id='1188085' first='Sione' last='Kaho'] made a return trip to Washington for its 42-35 win over Illinois.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound signal-caller was quick to point out it wasn't his first visit.

“To be honest, I have been down there so many times I lost count,” Kaho said. “I keep coming back, because (Washington) has been one of the schools that have been heavily recruiting me.”

This time around he got another look at budding superstar quarterback Demond Williams Jr., who highlights the clear fact that the Huskies and Jeff Fisch both have a solid history developing passers.

While Kaho is not similar, in play style, to Williams, he is intrigued by how Fisch and offensive coordinator Jimmie Dougherty would use him.

“It excites me, for sure, knowing that Demond is doing his thing, but we have total different play styles,” Kaho said. “(But) that also interests me… how coach Fisch and coach Jimmie would implement my style into the pro-style offense they run.”

Kaho has a few unofficial visits in mind for the rest of the fall football schedule, but only one is solidified.

He'll be at Washington on November 29 when they play Oregon, a matchup that features two schools that have been recruiting Kaho early in the process.

With all of that in mind, it stands to reason that the in-state quarterback is high on the the Huskies.

While it's still early, and Kaho is not close to naming a leader or a “top schools” list, he is confident Washington is doing its part to be in the mix.

“They are definitely a legit contender and could be one of my top schools,” he said.

Here's what 247Sports had to say about Kaho in its scouting report:

“Kaho has been one of the top quarterbacks in the Northwest since his freshman season. He has looked strong at multiple off-season events and has the game tape to match. He's very polished as a thrower with a smooth, easy delivery, spins it really well and has a nice touch and feel for throwing the deeper routes. He's a fluid athlete who moves well, in and out of the pocket. He has some suddenness to him in how he eludes pressure and has some real twitch in his movement. He has a solid 6-foot-2 frame with room to grow and a strong lower body already in place. He can make some high level throws- tight windows down the field, in-between defenders that are college level right now. He knows how to change speeds, when to take a little off or add some zip and has a really good overall feel for how to play the position. He's a tough kid who can take off and run when he needs to and isn't afraid of contact. Overall, Kaho is a high floor player who looks capable of competing early in college but has a high ceiling as well and an NFL upside if he fulfills his potential.”
