Senior Spotlight: DFW Defensive Back Standouts

<p>In a season that has seen magnificent senior storylines, a lot of focus has been on the offensive outbursts throughout DFW. However, one Class of 2026 position group that is not getting enough attention in the Metroplex is defensive backs. From man-up corners, to nickels, to deep safeties, here are five senior ball hawks that have boosted their defense this season.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">An impressive two-way playmaker, Foster has been a game changer on the defensive side of the ball for the Saints this season. Micah showcases excellent foot speed and fluid hips, allowing him run with receivers and mask their routes. He has also demonstrated great ball tracking and ball skills all season, averaging an interception a game with 7 through 7 games. He is effective in the run game as well, with 18 total tackles and 3 TFLs so far this campaign. Foster also has great (4.5 40) speed and uses it to contribute on offense at receiver and on special teams as a return man. Micah holds an offer from McMurry, and he will look to continue to flip the field for his team down the stretch.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Another turnover machine, Johnson is CB1 for the Blue Hawks, and he flashes elite ball skills and the body balance control to reel in tough INTs. He put together an incredible 3-interception showing in his most recent contest and has 6 total on the season. Harrison displays smooth back-pedaling, great instincts, and strong body balance control, allowing him to always be in position to play the ball. The electrifying senior DB plays with great technique and pad-level in all facets of the defense, as he has produces 23 tackles as well through 6 games. Damarion displays everything you want to see from your guy holding down the deep part of the field, as he plays with great instincts and athleticism. With 4 interceptions in just 3 games played, Ross has demonstrated the ball skills and body control to reel in turnovers from an array of angles and positions. He is also a very sound tackler, always breaking with great burst and finishing ball carriers into the ground. Damarion holds offers from schools such as Sacramento State, Lamar, and UTPB, and he will be important in the Eagles' success down the stretch.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Another deep safety, Johnson is a two-way star who excels at making big plays on defense. Antonio showcases great anticipation in zone coverage and the speed and hips to run with receivers in man. He also possesses remarkable length and athleticism which he has utilized to secure 5 interceptions in 6 games this season, including a pick-6. Johnson also provides immense value in the run game, using his eyes and twitchiness disrupt plays before reaching the secondary. In addition to the turnovers, the BYU commit has 22 tackles on the year. He has a great frame and plays with elite level instincts and physicality, putting himself in position to affect nearly every play. Shifting around the safety and nickel positions, Easton plays with great field awareness and the technique to play in space. He also flashes great ball skills and the ability to run with receivers thanks to his (4.5 40) speed. Mitchell has totaled a ridiculous 49 tackles in just 5 games, along with 3 interceptions and 4 PBUs.
