Talk about potential! Park of Cottage Grove may have just earned their first win of the 2025 season, but 6'4, 170 lb. WR and CB Kalab Miftah has been a W machine as a junior two-way starter with the Wolfpack. Dripping with potential on both sides of the ball, Miftah is a physically impressive athlete whose size and length are advantageous, bordering on dominant, and he flashed some very exciting tools in his 2025 regular season tape.

A two-way starter as a WR and CB, Miftah owns very sticky man coverage skills, especially for a 6'4 corner, as his combination of speed, body control, technique, and his own experience/instincts as a standout WR that he brings to the defensive side of the ball, allow him to easily stay in a WR's hip pocket through what looks like the entire route tree. Patient at the LOS, Miftah does a good job of keeping the gate closed and staying square during a WR's release, and he displays a smooth backpedal, before easily finding the WR's hip pocket and melting him into the sideline. Plus. his COD ability allow him to easily break, start/stop, and shut down for a 6'4, corner, and his length and ball skills are an asset as both a WR and CB in redzone situations. Plus, Miftah's a 50/50 ball and contested catch standout and specialist, is a vertical threat who can take the top off the defense, breaks his routes off well, and shows a large catch radius at 6'4. Plus, he possesses quick, effective releases at the LOS, does a good job of stacking CBs once he gets a step on the coverage, and tracks and plays the ball well in the air. Someone's going to make a big debut on the 2027 Ranking's Big Board in a month!

Someone's due for a rankings bump! Rocori has a ton of athletes on their 2025 roster, and behind the top-end stardom and talent in their senior class lies some physical, hungry, and similarly playmaking-focused juniors and sophomores that are already itching to make this Spartans team their own. One of the up-and-comers that PRZMN is growing more and more fond of is 6'3, 205 lb. junior EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='1581388' first='Nolan' last='VanLoy'], who sports a great frame capable of adding significant weight in a college S&C program and who took a gameday visit to North Dakota on 10/11 with Rocori's 2026 North Dakota commit [player_tooltip player_id='1471267' first='Brody' last='Woods'] to see current UND true freshmen nickel and Rocori product Grant Tylutki.

The junior EDGE and TE showed he can bend the corner a bit and unlock his hips, cutting tight off a tackle's backside in pursuit of the QB as a pass rusher, and his twitchy first step leaves OT's feet in the mud off the snap. VanLoy also displays strong hands can chuck blockers aside when he puts his paws on an OL and locks out and extends, and he does a good job of not getting tied up around the LOS in both run and pass defense. The 205-210 pounder does a great job of shocking and shedding in run support especially, and he plays with proper edge leverage and is a physical kid who is looking to knock your head off if he can. Plus, VanLoy sports two-way versatility, as he doubles a TE with some juice after the catch, in addition to reliable hands, quick feet, and good vision. Definite name to watch for NSICs and MVFCs going into the 2027 cycle.

A new and exciting name to the PRZMN radar, eventual Ranking's Big Board, and search for the Next Great Minnesota Linemen, Farmington's Rocco Fulk is a 6'4, 275 lber. whose film we were itching to break down ASAP. There's a few reasons why Farmington has downed some of the Metro's bigger 6A names in 2025, and a lot of it starts with their impressive OL play, anchored by RT Rocco Fulk.

At 6'4, 275 lbs., Fulk is extremely mobile, as well as aggressive, and I found myself very impressed with Fulk's get-off, first step, and overall foot speed as a run blocker. The RT and occasional LT shows solid bend in his wide, balanced stance, and he fires out of his stance and off the LOS with noticeable explosiveness. With Fulk's solid pad level, the 275 lber. does a good job of getting up and under a DL's chest plate and can win the leverage battle more often than not, and he's a crushing down blocker with noticeable initial pop, leg drive post-contact, and finishing ability. I also think it's worth mentioning that Fulk shows great balance, especially once he gets up to full speed, bit of a nasty streak, which I like of course, and the ability to easily and effectively climb to the second level and find work. Easy scholarship kid out of the always-OL-fertile Land of 10,000 Lakes with FCS upside. Keep your eyes and ears out for this Farmington Tiger mauler!

One of the breakout stars of the 2025 season's ongoing 6A campaign, Blaine High School has replaced one lethally mobile duel-threat QB/ATH with another, as 6', 170 lb. 2027 Jameson Niska is stepping into the giant shoes left by 2025 Air Force commit Sam Shaughnessy, and doing a mighty fine job for a first-year starter I must add. The junior has led the Bengals to a 5-3 record in the 2025 regular season, with two of the losses coming within one score, and he's put up an impressive individual stat line, surpassing the 1K club with both his arm and his legs this fall. Niska has gone 60-110 (55%) for 1,129 passing yards and 7 TDs to 5 INTs through the air and has added 155 rushes for 1,017 yards (6.6 YPC) and 13 TDs while toting the rock, adding yet another dynamic wrinkle to Blaine's offense and asserting himself as a true matchup nightmare for opposing defenses in the MN Big School ranks.

The regular season tape displays a fluid athlete with game-breaking speed and burst that can go the distance when given the sideline or space in the second and third-level of the field. Niska owns impressive start/stop ability, and he does a good job of timing out his quick cuts in the open field, and has the contact balance and playmaking mentality to stay upright through multiple 6A tackle attempts on a single carry. The Blaine product also possesses good vision and burners in the open field that can blow by pursuit angles and 1v1 would-be tacklers. The lefty gunslinger also shows a live arm that can stretch the field vertically and drop the ball into a bucket thanks to his downfield touch, and although he has a couple of good throws between his week 1-8 highlights, he better projects to RB, WR, or DB at the next level. I'm absolutely itching to get some athletic numbers on this kid. Hope to see him at a showcase in December or April!

I've slowly grown to love and admire the tough, fearless, physical prospects the Spring Lake Park Panthers regularly produce, and this 2025 roster is something special. One of the cornerstones of the Panthers success this fall has been their standout QB [player_tooltip player_id='1633390' first='Nolan' last='Roach'], a 6', 175 lber. in his first year taking the reigns full-time of the perennial standout 5A competitor. Roach played in seven games as a sophomore in 2024, throwing for a TD pass and a rushing for 3 more, but he's really embraced the role as QB1 in 2025, going 40-75 (60%) for 853 passing yards and 10 TDs + 240 yards and 6 TDs rushing in eight games of regular season action this fall.

Manning the Panthers triple-option offensive attack, which emphasizes its ball carrying, Roach shows a good arm that can stretch the field, deliver accurate strikes downfield in the pocket and through oncoming contact and huge hits, and put the ball on the $ on some difficult passes to the second and third levels of the gridiron in his 2025 regular season tape. Roach is also a shifty, instinctive, aware scrambler who maneuvers the pocket smoothly and sent some defenders flying onto their faces thanks to well-timed cuts, and he throws a good ball on the move as well. The Panthers QB1 - who doubles as a good basketball player with the Northstar Titans AAU squad, good baseball player with SLP, and 4.0 GPA student - is overall an accurate passer and a smart, shifty, fast-paced ball carrier who can easily churn out first downs and move the chains. Roach, as well as the plethora of tailbacks the Panthers have to offer in 2025, is going to be hard to manage now that it's late October and playoff time.

Hard work pays off, and Champlin Park's 2027 linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1581354' first='Damon' last='Torke'] is now up to 6'1, 215 lbs., ready-made and willing for the physical, run-heavy matchups that come with MN's 6A competition week to week. The PrepRedzoneMN Showcase veteran, who played in three tackles in 2024 as a sophomore, posting 10 tackles and a fumble that he recovered for a TD, is in the midst of a strong junior campaign with the 7-1 Rebels, tallying 37 tackles, 2 TFLs, 2 sacks, 3 FF in six games of regular season action.

Torke has a knack for forced fumbles and getting his hands/head on the rock, as you can see by his three FFs in six games stat line of the regular season. The off-ball ILB does a good job of sniffing out the rock, weaving and wading through traffic, and cutting off and/or squaring up ball carriers for minimal gains, especially after he runs his feet post-contact. He takes good angles to the football, does a good job of tracking the hip and mirroring ball carriers cuts when running the alley or pursuing to the sideline, and closes quickly. He also seems to be able to consistently win at the contact point when tackling RBs, and does a good job of not getting tied up around the box by climbing iOL.

If you haven't heard, Pequot Lakes is undefeated at 8-0 and holds the #1 seed in Section 7A. The defending Class AAA semifinalist has done a great job of replacing their loaded but now departed 2025 graduating class, particularly at QB and RB, but the team's second-highest scoring offensive player isn't shy from the spotlight. On the Patriots 11-1 2024 campaign that saw them reach the Class AAA semifinals, then-sophomore tailback [player_tooltip player_id='1657342' first='Jobey' last='Tvedt'] aided his Pequot Lakes team with 32 rushes for 318 yards and (9.9 YPC) and 3 TDs, clocking in as the team's third-leading rusher, and he's come back hot as a now-upperclassman in the Patriots' RB by committee backfield.

Sitting at 34 for 265 yards (7.8 YPC) and 6 TDs through the regular season, as well as 16 tackles and an INT on the defensive side of the ball, Tvedt has shown a skillset that includes explosiveness, as he's returned two kickoffs for 94 yards and 1 TD through the regular season, certifying himself as a legitimate three-phase playmaker with a nose for splash plays. Tvedt displays good burst, is light on his feet and shows nimble COD and cutting ability, as well as the lower body strength and balance to run through weaker tackle attempts at his lower body. I love how fast the Pequot Lakes product flies out of his breaks, and he'll knock your top off at the contact point and should not be underestimated when going over the middle as a wideout. The junior owns tons of thump and physicality for his size, and is overall a dynamic and playmaking presence on a football roster.

The Hawks, led by one of the state's top tailbacks in [player_tooltip player_id='1292281' first='Martin' last='Sleen'], are reinforced with a ton of size in the trenches and front-seven, with a ton of exciting new names set to sit the PRZMN Ranking's Big Board in the upcoming November update.
Haedrich's midseason tape displays a two-way lineman who, as a DL, is a hulking presence in the middle of the LOS who can stick his cleat in the turf and get vertical with noticeable pace, leading to drive-stopping TFLs and sacks from the interior of the defensive line. The 235 lber. can also easily disengage from blocking attempts and shows the ability to unlock his hips. Along the OL, where he best projects in college, Haedrich is a prep RT who displays a solid pass set and uses his hands well. He does a good job of utilizing leverage when working to finish DL, and also shows solid burst out of his stance that helps him climb to the second level of the field with some pace. College coaches: recruit Hermantown!

Representing the Border West co-op of Wheaton and Herman-Norcross, junior two-way standout Tryg Olson is, like I'd hope for from Border West standouts, a strong wrestler who has qualified for the state tournament and a strong multi-sport standout coming from the MN small school ranks. Olson has aided his Buccaneers squad to a 6-2 record going into their Saturday matchup with Hancock in the Class 9Man, Section 4 bracket, and he's off to a strong start to his 2025 junior campaign, posting 30 carries for 309 yards (10.3 YPC) and 6 TDs + 31 tackles, 3 TFLs, and 1 sack defensively, as well as a 77-yard KOR for six.

Possessing game-breaking speed that can finish big carries once he finds the edge of the defense, the Wheaton High School product is explosive, comfortable with the ball in his hand, smooth in space, and a strong kid with good contact balance who is shifty with the ball in his hand. Plus, the three-phase standout is a strong 1v1 tackler in space with a big catch radius and soft hands. Can't wait to get this dude on the PRZMN 2027 Big Board.

Another multi-phase contributor with the 7-1 Hermantown Hawks, 6'2, 225 lber. [player_tooltip player_id='1694573' first='Neo' last='Carlson'] has good things going for him as a defensive linemen as well as a long snapper. The standout multi-sporter, who also has 40'7" shot put and 131'6" discus throws on his belt on the outdoor track and field circuit, displays a good get-off and some wiggle as a pass rusher, leading to 28 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 INT in 2025 according to MNFootballHub. Carlson also showed he can run the hoop, owns heavy hands, and strong tackler who can square up ball carriers and win at the contact point. He possesses good play speed for his size who can pursue out to the edge and shows some start/stop ability as well. Plus, Carlson is an accurate and consistent long snapper on punts, PATs, and FGs, with size that fits among D1 specialists at the next level. Again, college coaches: recruit Hermantown!
