The stretch run is here, and in the Lowcountry, Week 7 is full of possibilities for some huge individual storylines.

The best part of it all? Everyone's in the midst of region play.

These players and their sidekicks are going to have plenty of eyes on them this weekend as some intriguing matchups are led by some even more intriguing players.

Dewey Bull LB, Lucy Beckham

Bull is a tackling machine, and one that Beckham needed to step up in a hurry after some key graduations. In three of Bull's first five games as a starter, he put up double-digit tackle figures and already has 58 for the season. That's a big reason the Bengals are an upset home loss against St. James away from a perfect start. Either way, Bull is going to have to be on point this week at home against Stratford. The Knights have a couple players you might have heard about in their offensive backfield. And the defenses who give [player_tooltip player_id='1165148' first='Jachin' last='Davis'] and [player_tooltip player_id='473027' first='Meliq' last='McGowan'] second chances via missed tackles or missed assignments don't tend to see that work out for them. If Bull can help slow them down, this should be another exciting fourth-quarter finish between two Lowcountry squads who only have one loss each.

[player_tooltip player_id='1827399' first='Avery' last='Durham'] QB, Andrews and [player_tooltip player_id='1592194' first='Jaemin' last='Pinckney'] DL, Woodland

So much of the personnel between these teams changed from last year to this, maybe with none more noticeable than that relating to Durham taking over the starting QB job at Andrews. The Yellow Jackets are still focusing on [player_tooltip player_id='1395098' first='AJ' last='Lee'] (952 yards, 14 touchdowns) and the rest of the rushing attack first, but Durham (760 yards, four touchdowns) is getting some college looks already because of his ability to throw the ball. That's where Pinckney comes in. The South Florida commit has an ability to close down passing lanes and if Woodland elects to move him around from end to end and series to series, the cat and mouse game between he and Durham could turn this game into a hidden Class 2A gem.

Jimmy Jones (T), [player_tooltip player_id='1036776' first='Israel' last='Harris'] (G), [player_tooltip player_id='1817512' first='Kadyn' last='Vincent'] (C), Brennan Hammond (G) and [player_tooltip player_id='1668867' first='Demontrai' last='Cooper'] (T), [player_tooltip player_id='1664605' first='Sam' last='Crumpton'] (TE), James Island

The biggest game in the state this week will be at Summerville, and the amount of implications for this one couldn't be much higher considering it's taking place on the second Friday of October. Since losing to South Florence on August 29, Summerville's offense has quietly regained its mojo, averaging better than 47 points per game over its last four contests. It's doing it with quick-strike capability and then turning around and stalling out opposing defenses. Doing that two or three times in a game is a disaster for visiting teams. However, Jones, Harris, Vincent, Hammond, Cooper and Crumpton can change the entire dynamic of the game by giving quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1592342' first='Connor' last='Dantzler'] and tailback [player_tooltip player_id='1820391' first='Malakhi' last='Washington'] some breathing room and running lanes, respectively. A few well-timed and successful offensive series early in this game might just dictate what's happening in the fourth quarter when pressure starts rearing its head for both squads.

[player_tooltip player_id='1821532' first='Zakhi' last='Muncey'] RB, Oceanside Collegiate

The Landsharks came into the season with all the expectations a Class 3A program could possibly have after back-to-back state titles and most of the roster intact from last season. But when junior tailback [player_tooltip player_id='1664501' first='James' last='O'Connor'] (leg fracture) went down four carries into the series opener, Oceanside needed another option fast. Muncey has stepped in and did better than coach Brent LaPrad could have hoped. The senior transitioned from receiver and has run for 635 yards (7.9 yards per carry) and six touchdowns since taking over the starting job in the second game of the season. In a couple weeks, O'Connor will return and Muncey and he will split carries. But for the time being, including this week's region game against North Charleston, Muncey will be the guy to help balance out the Landsharks' potent air attack.

[player_tooltip player_id='1592310' first='Quinn' last='Mahoney'] QB, Bishop England (pictured)

For as demoralizing as last week's lopsided region loss to Hilton Head felt for the Bishops, Mahoney is the key to this program's season-long hopes and needs to bounce back in a hurry. Against May River on Friday, Bishop England is going to be facing a team that tends to suck up game clock like it's going out of style. Opponents get fewer possessions against the Sharks on average and need to make them count. For Mahoney (1,153 yards, 12 touchdowns), that means shaking off the interception bug that bit him the last four games. All five of his interceptions have come in that window, with the two painful ones coming in last Friday's loss to the Seahawks. [player_tooltip player_id='1822196' first='Zachary' last='Balog'] (23 receptions, 362 yards, four touchdowns), [player_tooltip player_id='1819312' first='Ben' last='Turner'] (21, 260, four) and [player_tooltip player_id='1664589' first='William' last='Donato'] (12, 201, two) can all help that fluidity return against the Sharks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1165165' first='Jaylen' last='Singletary'] RB/DB, Hampton County

Say this for the Hurricanes: They have been selective aggressive with Singletary for most of the season in order to keep him as fresh as possible for the stretch run. For all intents and purposes, that begins Friday against Lake Marion. The next three games (which also includes a trip a Barnwell and the regular-season finale against Whale Branch on Oct. 24), could be Singletary's opportunity to break out in a big way. That's saying something for someone who has already rushed for 892 yards and five touchdowns. He had 25 carries against Silver Bluff and 32 in the loss to Chris Church, and the games in which he was limited were also encouraged by breaking some early runs to pile up yards and points. For as much as this offense relies on quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1644574' first='Tarell' last='Grant'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1819440' first='Nigil' last='Fripp'] to get some yards, Singletary's the primary force here. It wouldn't be a shock to see him end the season on a five three-touchdowns games.

The stretch run is here, and in the Lowcountry, Week 7 is full of possibilities for some huge individual storylines.
