Week 3 Central Valley Rewind: Five Must Know Elite Performances

Tannehill is one of the best kept secrets across northern California and has the ideal measurables and frame for the next level at multiple positions. Although a small school star, he picked up his first offer from NAU last off-season and should see a slew of other Big Sky schools come in and offer heading into his Senior year in 2026. He erupted on Friday night throwing for nearly 250 yards and 3 scores in a very solid win over 2024 Section champs Coalinga. Look for Templeton to make a push for a section title this November and be in the state bowl game discussions come December. Sims is part of this loaded upper-classman squad that Templeton has on roster and is another college caliber prospect with upside and length for the position. He does a great job high-pointing the ball in the air, can box out smaller defenders in the end-zone and shows he can also create seperation downfield and is tough to take down in the open field. He is a complete player that should draw plenty of college interest through the off-season and erupted on Friday night against Coalinga going for 170+ yards and 3 scores while adding another one on special teams. Golla has been a steady presence for the Independence offense for the past two seasons and does a nice job spinning the ball around to multiple weapons and can also do some damage with his legs as well to get out of pressures and buy time. He is another no-brainer college caliber prospect that has been flying under the radar and should be collecting D3+ interest at the next level. Golla had a busy Friday night throwing for 230 yards and 2 scores while doing plenty of damage with his legs as well in the 38-13 win over Centennial. Watkins who is a Oregon State commit and one of the better recruits across the state has been dominating top tier central valley competition for several years now. He is a complete receiver with excellent hands seperation abilities downfield and can make contested catches while very effective after the catch as well. He had a big Friday night against Clovis in a upset win for Frontier and should continue on his senior season tear here down the stretch. He hauled in 5 catches for 70 yards and was a very consistent presence all knight for Campbell. Stevenson has been one of the more electric players across the valley in 2025 and the Nevada pledge had another stellar showing in week 3 of the season. He did it all either running or receiving, and exploded for 3 touchdowns and a interception on defense in a tough one score win over Redwood. He is one of the more explosive and high IQ two-way guys we have seen across the region and is going to be a very nice pickup for the Wolfpack in this 2026 class.
