Washington's Top Performers Week 1-2

Each week during the year we will highlight the top performances in the states of Oregon and Washington. Stats are not always available or reported so make sure and reach out if you have a noteworthy ball game.         *No Particular Order         WEEK 1         [player_tooltip player_id='1188109' first='Braylon' last='Pope'] 27' WR Sumner    Pope had maybe the best performance of any player in WA week 1, and the reigning state champs still lost 31-28 to Lake Stevens. On the night Braylon caught 10 passes for 117 yards and 4 touchdowns. There isn't much he didn't do.    [player_tooltip player_id='1589218' first='Jack' last='Pierce'] 26' DB Gonzaga Prep   The 1st team All GSL DB from last year has D1 potential backing that up in week 1. On the night he made 8 tackles with 2 TFL's, 1 INT, and a 70-yard touchdown return.    [player_tooltip player_id='635258' first='Thor' last='Brody'] 27' RB Camas    The Papermakers made quick work of Roosevelt in week 1, with Brody carrying 13 times for 170 yards and a TD, in the 47-0 win. Their non-league schedule is no joke as noted in the 49-22 loss to Mount Tahoma. They play Lincoln of Tacoma and reigning Oregon state champ West Linn next.     [player_tooltip player_id='1165376' first='Jonah' last='Keller'] 26' RB Gonzaga Prep   Keller should be considered the favorite for GSL Player of the Year honors. The 2x 1st team all-conference RB had 3 catches for 3 TDs (80,51) with 8 touches totaling 188 yards. They beat Ridgeline 38-10.    [player_tooltip player_id='984855' first='AJ' last='Tuivaiave'] 28' QB Graham Kapowsin   One of the nation's top QB's for the 2028 class picked up where he left off last year, leading his team to a 40-38 win over reigning 3A state O'Dea. Tuivaiave hit on 18 of 34 passes for 307 yards while totaling 6 TDs (3 passing, 3 rushing).    [player_tooltip player_id='987158' first='Jack' last='Sievers'] 26' TE/DE Archbishop Murphy     The Wisconsin TE commit has been absolutely dominant on D early in the season, scoring 2 TD's and recording 3 sacks in the 63-8 win over Lakewood in the opener. They have outscored their opponents 118-10 through 2 weeks.    [player_tooltip player_id='985348' first='Jayce' last='Halasz'] 28' ATH Graham Kapowsin/ [player_tooltip player_id='937738' first='Kase' last='Betz'] 27' WR Graham Kapowsin     One of the best young receiver combos anywhere on the west coast. Betz is fresh off an unreal statistical season last year where he went for 858 yards as a sophomore. He caught 6 passes for 98 yards and a TD, with his counterpart Halasz looking like a 4* national recruit and catching 5 passes for 102 yards and a touchdown, in the 40-38-week 1 win against O'Dea.    [player_tooltip player_id='1892943' first='Sam' last='Kincaid'] 26' QB Gonzaga Prep      Kincaid has had back to back impressive weeks with an unreal stat line in week 1, throwing 4 TDs on only 5 completions for 209 yards in the 38-10 win over Ridgeline. The Bullpups will likely compete for a state title.    [player_tooltip player_id='1892953' first='Braiden' last='Rupp'] 27' DB Evergreen     The Junior DB started off the season in impressive fashion, helping Evergreen to a huge 24-23 win over Union. He came up clutch in the secondary returning an INT 97 yards for a TD in the process.    [player_tooltip player_id='1530860' first='Quinncey' last='Ratteray'] 26' DE Graham Kapowsin   George Fox might have gotten their biggest commitment in program history with Ratteray. The 6-4 two sport standout helped seal the deal for GK from his DE spot, making a sack with a strip and 2 fumble recoveries against O'Dea.    [player_tooltip player_id='1165362' first='Koven' last='Burke'] 26' WR Southridge    I would consider Burke one of the more underrated players in Washington. The 6-3 receiver had 79 yards and 3 TD's in the 61-23 win over Pasco.    [player_tooltip player_id='1428218' first='Ryan' last='Harrington'] 26' QB Anacortes    Look for Harrington to make a big jump up the PRZ rankings board when updated. He hit on 72% of his passes (26/36) for 414 yards and 4 TDs, while also rushing for 94 yards, in the 55-7 win over Bainbridge.    [player_tooltip player_id='991884' first='Scottie' last='Dinnwiddie Jr.'] 28' WR Decatur   Easily one of the fastest rising prospects in the NW. Dinnwiddie had a breakout freshman season and started the year off with a bang, catching 8 passes for 153 yards and 2 TDs, in the week 1 loss to Enumclaw 30-14.    [player_tooltip player_id='1582212' first='Giulio' last='Banchero'] 26' WR O'Dea   O'Dea didn't lose a game on their way to winning the 3A title last year, so the 40-38 loss to Graham Kapowsin was a tough way to start the season. That said, as the E. Washington commit Banchero looked outstanding catching 5 passes for 109 yards and a TD.    [player_tooltip player_id='1892944' first='Adam' last='Olson'] 26' RB Union      Olson averaged 6 yards per carry, rushing 22 times for 134 yards and a TD, in the 24-23 loss to Evergreen. The 6-0 180 pound RB was a big part of keeping them in the ball game.            WEEK 2         [player_tooltip player_id='1568783' first='Myles' last='Johnson'] 26' RB Eastlake    Maybe the game of the year thus far. The 5-8 175-pound RB rushed 21 times for 209 yards along with 2 receptions for 54 and 5 total TDs. This included a 95-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown in the team's 39-20 win over Gig Harbor.    [player_tooltip player_id='726174' first='Israel' last='Nabors'] 26' CB/RB 8-107-1 [player_tooltip player_id='987161' first='Lance' last='McGee'] 11-85-2 Sumner      The reigning state champs have a D1 combo coming out of the backfield. Nabors projects on the defensive side of the ball but should contribute heavily on O, rushing 8 times for 107 yards and a TD. The Oregon St commit McGee carried 11 times for 85 yards and 2 touchdowns, in the 28-0 win over Kennedy Catholic.    [player_tooltip player_id='1892954' first='Jayvian' last='Ferrell'] 27' RB Lake Stevens     Not a lot of people knew about Ferrell, but he has broken out early this season for what could be the top team in Washington at the 4A level. The junior rushed for 121 yards and a TD in the 21-14 win over Bellevue. This after going for 130 and a touchdown in their win over Sumner last week.    [player_tooltip player_id='1892955' first='Tucker' last='Downing'] 27' QB Olympia   The Jr. QB had a great night, hitting on 25 of 37 passes for 245 yards and 2 TDs. His efficiency was notable in the big 16-15 win over Issaquah.    [player_tooltip player_id='1892956' first='Tyler' last='Briscoe'] 27' RB Tumwater    You will hear a lot more about Briscoe as the year unfolds. He went for 220 yards and 3 TDs in the 45-6 win over Bainbridge. This after coming up just short against a super talented Puyallup team 25-19.    [player_tooltip player_id='1663125' first='Angelo' last='Masciocchi'] 26' RB Issaquah     Masciocchi returns after earning 1st team all-league honors at Safety last year and should be one of the KingCo's best on offense this season. He rushed for 138 yards and a TD in the 16-15 loss to Olympia.    [player_tooltip player_id='1679403' first='Nick' last='Norrah'] 26' LB/ATH Bellevue    Norrah has a handful of D1 offers at LB, playing only one year of varsity ball. He had only 1 reception last year but caught 2 TDs against Lake Stevens in the 21-14 loss.    [player_tooltip player_id='376860' first='Nick' last='Jones'] 26' RB Eastside Catholic    Jones left no doubt scoring 5 TDs with one being called back in the 48-10 win over Bishop Blanchet. He might not have a bunch of stars next to his name, but he does project as a 1st team all-state back.    [player_tooltip player_id='1892945' first='Charlie' last='Barr'] 26' WR Camas    The 6-5 195-pound receiver had a big night, scoring all 3 of his team's TDs while totaling 102 receiving yards, in Camas' 49-22 loss to Mount Tahoma.    [player_tooltip player_id='1671389' first='Teaven' last='Jones'] 27' LB Mount Tahoma/ [player_tooltip player_id='1165346' first='Shan' last='Jones'] 26' LB Mount Tahoma   It was a dominant performance for Mount Tahoma against a Camas team that reached the 4A title game last year. The Jones' kids killed it combining for 23 tackles, 5 TFL's, 3 sacks, and a bunch of hurries in the 49-22 win.    [player_tooltip player_id='1892946' first='Wyatt' last='Chase'] 26' Safety Tumwater    The 6-2 defender can play multiple spots on the field and showed off his versatility in the win over Bainbridge, making 10 tackles, with a sack in the 45-6 win.    [player_tooltip player_id='1892947' first='Rock' last='Franklin'] 26' WR/ [player_tooltip player_id='1892957' first='Rashad' last='Franklin'] 28' ATH Mount Spokane     Mount Spokane projects as a top 10 3A team as evident by their 41-0 win over Shadle Park, and 83-0 combined score from the last two weeks. The older WR Rock had 2 TD's including a 78-yard kick return with the sophomore Rashad rushing 9 times for 104 yards and a touchdown.    [player_tooltip player_id='1576635' first='Sam' last='Rigg'] 26' DB/WR Olympia    The 6-3 CB is one of the top DB's in Washington for 2026. He came up clutch in his team's 16-15 win over Issaquah with 2 INTs and a 10-yard TD reception on offense.
