Round Valley @ Blue Ridge

4-0 Round Valley travels over to Lakeside-Pinetop in a 3A Mountain Region rivalry game against 2-2 Blue Ridge, which could be a heated, dog fight type of matchup. Round Valley has put up over 35 points in each of their last 4 games as they're fresh off a 38-21 win over St. Johns. Blue Ridge started hot with wins over Chinle and Safford, but look to bounce back with back to back losses now against tough opponents in Valley Christian and Crismon last week. Round Valley blew out Blue Ridge last season with a 35-0 victory, so it'll be interesting to see how this plays out- especially with Blue Ridge in need of a crucial win, as their schedule doesn't get any easier.

Crismon @ Valley Christian

Crismon heads to valley Christian as they start the season 2-0, but could very well be 4-0 at this point. They've suffered two close losses which include a 22-24 loss at Eastmark, and a 27-28 loss against the defending 3A State Champs in Pusch Ridge. They were able to bounce back with a 20-12 win over Blue Ridge last week, so they'll look to keep the momentum rolling against an always tough VC squad. Valley Christian enters this one 4-0 with a recent 38-13 win over Dysart, showing a ton of momentum heading into this week 5 matchup. A big region game which could potentially be the difference maker at the end of the season.

Chandler Prep @ San Tan Charter

A big 2A Metro-1 Region matchup between two 3-1 teams. San tan Charter looks like an absolute powerhouse in 2A and a team that has state championship caliber, as their lone loss came against 3A Seton Catholic, who most recently made the bump down from 4A here in 2025. Right now, this is San Tan Charter's toughest game remaining in the regular season, so they have a good chance at going 9-1 and clinching a top 5 seed barring they win Friday and stay healthy throughout the rest of the year. Chandler Prep has been rolling through their past two opponents at 3-1 with that lone loss coming in a tight, one point difference in a 40-41 shootout loss vs Trivium Prep.

Phoenix Christian @ Santa Cruz Valley

4-0 Phoenix Christian is yet another 2A team that looks much different than most other 2A teams, outscoring their opponents 207-28 on the year with 42 points being their least amount of points being scored in a single game thus far. Some argue that the strength of schedule plays a major factor- and it might, but having that big of a point differential means something. Regardless, there won't be any excuse this week as Santa Cruz Valley comes in with a 3-1 record looking to hand Phoenix Christian their 1st L. Their lone loss came on a blowout 0-49 matchup against St Johns, but they quickly bounced back last week with a 62-0 win over Tombstone.
