With the 2025 TSSAA football season halfway finished, most senior recruits are already committed to their respective programs. However, there are still many uncommitted players out there who possess Division I and Power Four talent, but haven't been able to decide which school to attend.

I've compiled a list of the top 10 uncommitted in-state prospects who should be getting closer to making a decision. Some are on this list because they have recently decommitted, while others are simply exploring other options.

Regardless, there are still some hidden gems in Tennessee that need to be on people's radars. Let's get into it.

Photo: [player_tooltip player_id='402535' first='Derreon' last='Rogers'].

10. ATH [player_tooltip player_id='402535' first='Derreon' last='Rogers'] – Germantown

[player_tooltip player_id='402535' first='Derreon' last='Rogers'] is one of the more intriguing uncommitted prospects coming out of Germantown High School. It's tough to say what he'd be most suited for since he plays both sides as a wide receiver and outside linebacker, but he's productive at both.

As a wideout, he offers a bigger frame at 6-foot-2, good speed, solid route running and the ability to make something happen after the catch. On the other side of the ball, he's very athletic off the edge and consistently creates negative plays for opposing offenses.

With his natural size and athleticism, I could see him playing either position. Regardless, Rogers is a good player who could be a starter at the next level.

9. ATH [player_tooltip player_id='860627' first='Jawell' last='Rodgers'] – Lausanne

[player_tooltip player_id='860627' first='Jawell' last='Rodgers'] from Lausanne is in the same position as the previous prospect, as he plays well on both sides. However, he projects more as a defensive back at the next level. He has a solid build, standing at 6-foot-0 and weighing 180 pounds, while possessing great athleticism.

He's a bit raw at corner, but is a great athlete and shows the right instincts for that position. Even if Rodgers gets beaten on a route, he recovers quickly and typically breaks up the pass or intercepts it. He's pretty fluid and has nice movement in coverage, while having a good feel for his surroundings.

The Lausanne senior can also come up and make tackles, which checks off a big question mark that people often have with high school DBs.

8. WR [player_tooltip player_id='284143' first='Bryson' last='Maddox'] – Clinton

2026 WR [player_tooltip player_id='284143' first='Bryson' last='Maddox'] is a prospect with an incredibly high ceiling, thanks to his God-given size, combined with the athleticism and agility that are not typically seen together.

He stands at 6-foot-5 with the ability to high point the football, make contested catches, create separation and use his body to overpower people. On the other hand, he's slippery and twitchy enough for Clinton to use him on screens and short routes.

Maddox is my No. 2 uncommitted wide receiver in Tennessee and holds 25 Division I offers, including MTSU, Toledo, Appalachian State, Louisville and Army.

7. DB [player_tooltip player_id='1167514' first='Jayden' last='Rush'] – Franklin Road Academy

I watched [player_tooltip player_id='1167514' first='Jayden' last='Rush'] for the first time this season against a ranked BGA team last weekend. He was impressive on both sides of the ball, but mainly as a defensive back.

He's a good coverage corner who has nice footwork, excellent agility, great instincts and the ability to keep his head on a swivel to go where he needs to. Rush can walk up and tackle opposing players, as well as play all over the secondary.

I like this player a lot, and he has a bright future ahead.

6. LB [player_tooltip player_id='1373099' first='Matthew' last='Anderson'] – Ravenwood

Anderson is an absolute animal at linebacker who takes over games defensively. The senior already has over 50 total tackles, six sacks and nearly 20 TFLs. He's explosive, has a high motor, is a good tackler and is extremely physical.

While he's a tad undersized, Anderson is built well and makes up for it with his energy on the gridiron. He's genuinely one of the most underrated players in the state and will be a baller at the next level; somebody just needs to give him a chance.

5. IOL [player_tooltip player_id='1218536' first='Jeremy' last='George']-El – Knoxville Catholic

[player_tooltip player_id='1218536' first='Jeremy' last='George']-El is one of the best interior offensive linemen in Tennessee and is having an outstanding 2025 campaign. He's a mammoth of a man at 6-foot-5 and 325 pounds with the versatility to play anywhere on the inside.

George-El was a good center at Webb Bell Buckle before transferring to Knoxville Catholic this season and moving to guard, where he's been just as good, if not better. He's powerful, has nice technique and is extremely physical in the trenches.

This is a guy who lines up with bad intentions and typically dominates the man in front of him.

Photo: [player_tooltip player_id='284141' first='Brody' last='Smith']. Taken by Maryville Athletics.

4. OT [player_tooltip player_id='284141' first='Brody' last='Smith'] – Maryville

Let's keep the trend going with more offensive linemen, talking about Maryville's [player_tooltip player_id='284141' first='Brody' last='Smith']. He's been an excellent left tackle for the Rebels since transferring there a season ago.

Smith is on the leaner side, which plays in his favor and allows him to be an athletic lineman. He's quick off the ball, is agile, has solid technique and is violent in the trenches. He could certainly clean up on some things, but nobody is a perfect prospect.

The senior is a definite Power Four prospect, holding offers from Tennessee, NC State, and others.

3. IOL [player_tooltip player_id='1453995' first='Moussa' last='Seck'] – McCallie

McCallie's IOL [player_tooltip player_id='1453995' first='Moussa' last='Seck'] transformed his body over the offseason, and he's enjoying a good senior season because of it. He's an interior guy, which isn't typically valued as highly as offensive tackles, but he's been impressive this year.

Seck is a great run blocker who uses his size and strong body well to move anyone out of his way. He's a solid pass blocker with decent footwork, nice speed/quickness and strong hands.

Overall, Seck is an excellent offensive guard who's taken great strides over the past few years.

2. EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='889227' first='Yahya' last='Gaad'] – South Gibson

South Gibson's [player_tooltip player_id='889227' first='Yahya' last='Gaad'] is an absolute specimen of a football player. The edge rusher is 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds of lean muscle, while having excellent athleticism and agility for someone that large.

He's a good run defender who usually commands a double team, but still sheds blocks to tackle the running back, or at least contain them for a teammate to help clean things up.

On the pass-rushing side of things, it's impressive. He has nice rush moves with good technique, quick hands, is fast off the ball, and has the natural instinct to find the quarterback wherever he is.

He recently decommitted from UCLA after the firing of DeShaun Foster, but holds 23 Power Four offers.

1. WR [player_tooltip player_id='820949' first='Brayden' last='Carroll'] – Bradley Central

2026 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='820949' first='Brayden' last='Carroll'] is an absolute stud, potentially one of the most underrated players nationally. At 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, he already possesses a D1 frame, and then you consider his many other intangibles.

Carroll is extremely twitchy and shifty, causing a plethora of defenders to miss him on every play. He's swift in the route-running department while being highly fluid when cutting or changing angles.

He's terrific as a do-it-all wideout, then you realize he's excellent at high-pointing the football and can make contested catches over anybody. It's truly jaw-dropping that somebody hasn't swooped him up yet, but he will be a certified baller at the next level.
