The Sensational Seventy: Top Performers of Week 5

Week 5 of the New  Mexico high school football season was filled with plenty of outstanding performances. In fact, you can reasonably argue Amaro tops the list. Against Hobbs, Amaro rushed for 220 yards and 5 TD on a workhorse 26 carries. Taking advantage of his speed, Baum rushed for 175 yards and 3 TD + 6 tackles on defense to lead the significantly improved Cougars past Clovis at rainy Leon Williams Stadium. Best's longest run was 93 yards.
