Recruiting Report (9/30)- Recent News Across the State

We're back with a new Recruiting Report!   Today, we're diving into some of the recent recruiting news across the state. These prospects have been on fire this week, so we're diving into the latest surrounding their recruitment.   As always, make sure you watch their film below! You won't want to miss out on this kind of talent.    [player_tooltip player_id='222965' first='Davis' last='Barnett'] has been unstoppable for Bayside Academy this season and has started to see his recruitment open up.   “Barnett is a really impressive passer who can make some impressive plays from the pocket and on the run. Barnett is mobile, great at navigating the pocket, can escape pressure, and can create some huge throws when on the move.   I'm impressed with Barnett's accuracy- he has great ball placement and fits the ball through tight windows to his WRs, consistently allowing them to haul in passes while in stride and make plays after the catch. Barnett is definitely one to watch – he has some serious arm talent and is a quick processor who makes great decisions with the ball. Be on the lookout for him going forward.“   A few days back, Barnett announced he'd picked up his first offer from ULM!   I've been seriously impressed with Barnett this season. Make sure you check out some of his tape below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1593904' first='Bradley' last='Haizlip'] is a talented OL out of Oak Mountain who's seen his recruitment open up a ton these last few months.   "As a defender, you do not want to line up across a guy like Haizlip on the line of scrimmage. He explodes off the ball, is extremely powerful, and can bulldoze and flatten defenders at the line of scrimmage and in the open field to open up huge plays for his teammates. Haizlip helped pave the way for some huge runs last season and provided some great pass protection- watch for him this fall.   I'm most impressed with how mobile Haizlip is at his size- he's quick on his feet and moves around the field with ease, providing key blocks at every level of the field for his teammates."   A few days ago, Haizlip announced he'd picked up his 8th offer from Miami (OH)!   Haizlip has continued to dominate this season. Be sure to watch some of his clips from this year below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1603669' first='JJ' last='Bush'] is a talented EDGE out of Theodore who made a big announcement with his recruitment yesterday.   “At 6'3 206, Bush plays with a ton of speed and pursuit to consistently hunt down the ball carrier almost every snap. It's impressive watching Bush go to work in the trenches. He has a great pairing of speed and power and can bully offensive linemen into the backfield to create huge stops. Bush also has a ton of value as a pass rusher- he has a ton of different moves he uses to get off the edge and pressure/takedown opposing quarterbacks.   What really stands out with Bush's tape is just how athletic he is at his size- he's incredibly fast and has even made some huge plays at RB and as a returner on special teams.“   Yesterday, Bush announced he'd be reopening his recruitment after being committed to Arkansas for a few months.   We'll have to watch for him and his recruitment going forward. He's a talented defender any program would benefit from adding this fall. Make sure you check out some of his clips below, you'll see what I mean:      [player_tooltip player_id='1660602' first='Avrian' last='Pauley'] is a dominant 2027 DL who's been a big piece of McGill Toolen's defensive front the last few years.   "At 6'6 260, Pauley has terrific size and athleticism on the defensive line he uses to dominate the line of scrimmage almost every snap. He's quick, has great length, and plays with impressive leverage, consistently putting OL on their heels to create stops for little or no gain.   I'm really impressed with how well Pauley defends the run- he's physical at the point of attack, gets a ton of push on the line of scrimmage, and completely takes away rushing lanes, helping his defense come up with tons of stops upfront."   Pauley has had a huge week, picking up offers from Alabama and Georgia Tech over the last few days.   Everyone should have Pauley on their radar moving forward. He's a dominant DL with a promising future ahead- keep watch.      [player_tooltip player_id='1225913' first='Karlos' last='May'] is one of the top DL recruits in the state who has continued to add more offers over the last few months.   “May is a relentless pass rusher with tons of potential- he has great size and speed he uses to completely overwhelm opposing OL, fighting off double teams (sometimes even triple) to get to the QB and make plays. It's impressive watching May rush the passer- more often than not, Ramsay only rushes 3 and still can produce tons of pressure/sacks in the backfield with how dominant May is upfront.   May is also a terrific run defender. He completely closes up rushing lanes by himself, generating great penetration on the LOS and taking down the ball carrier for little to no gain every time offenses run the ball his way.“   In the last week, May has added offers from Alabama and Notre Dame!   May has been having an awesome season this fall. He's a true game wrecker in every sense. Make sure you watch some of his tape below:
