<p>Here is a look at four prospects who made noise on the gridiron.</p>

<p>Parker is fast, fast, fast. He is ranked No. 9 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026 and has verbally committed to Kansas University. He caught a screen pass and took it to the house like he was the only one on the field. That touchdown would be called back after a controversial call that he was knocked out of bounds. He has blazing speed, sure hands, and will be a lethal weapon for the Jayhawks.</p>

<p>Wakes is ranked No. 44 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. He is a shift runner who had multiple carries in the first half. He can make guys miss or just outrun them. He is also willing to fight for tough yards inside when called upon. He is a guy I would recommend to JUCO and NAIA coaches who follow me.</p>

<p>It's easy for Gallegos to get overlooked with Parker in the lineup, but this kid can scoot. He is ranked No. 77 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas. He runs crisp routes and is not afraid to run routes across the middle of the field. The first phrase that came to my mind while watching him play was one from my childhood, “he's slicker than snot.” He can make guys miss him and can break ankles when defenders think they have him cornered. He is an athlete who can play slot at the next level and have an immediate impact on special teams.</p>

<p><strong>Dayton Vanderpool,</strong> LB, 6'0”, 185, Shawnee Heights, ‘26</p>

<p>An unranked athlete looking for a college home is Vanderpool. The senior linebacker's name was announced multiple times by the Basehor PA announcer for making tackles. He has a nice combination of size and speed. He moves well laterally as well as downhill. He's a lunchpail backer looking to play at the next level, and another guy I would recommend JUCO and NAIA coaches take a look at.</p>
