This past week's game between the Bulldogs and Blue Jays was a hard hitting affair with players giving it their all in a close fought battle.

Grant Lott, 2026 DL Zumwalt South
(6'3" 265) This D1 prospect has continued to grow into one of the top players in the St. Louis area and really looks the part of a college prospect both physically and with his play. Lott played both offensive and defensive line the entire game and showed his skill and talented at both positions. He is explosive off the ball with good strength and a great motor. He has 6 total tackles in the game but his play in helping to control the line of scrimmage and closing lanes helped keep the Bulldogs in the game.

Ben Gelinas, 2026 DL Washington
(6'3" 245) Another high motor defensive lineman who gets off the ball and runs down plays while fighting off blockers with a high motor. Gelinas is athletic and physical. He runs well and chases after ball carriers and quarterbacks. In Friday's game he was the Jays second leading tackler with 7 stops while playing OT the entire game as well.

Griffin Hasten, 2026 DL Ft. Zumwalt South
(6'4" 300) Another talented two-way lineman who is getting attention from college prospects. Griffin has great size and is a space eater along the defensive line for the Bulldogs. He requires double teams to move as he is best against the run with his power and strength to hold his position. Hasten had 4 tackles during the but helped force the Jays to run outside.

Virgil Jacquin, 2026 DL Washington
(6'3" 225) Played a big role in helping his team hold off Zumwalt South with his play putting pressure in the backfield and stacking up tackles. Jacquin played hard the entire game and is a strong, physical defender who makes plays. The senior defensive lineman led his team with 8 total tackles in picking up the road win.

Lane Gerling, 2026 DB Washington
(5'10" 180) One of the number of talented two-way players for the Jays who played a big role in their win. Lane was also the Jays leading rusher, but when he wasn't racking up over 100 yards on offense, he was making tackles to give his team the opportunity for victory. Lane uses the same athleticism and mentality on defense and finished the game with 5 total stops on defense.
