This past Friday, I had the pleasure of attending a highly-anticipated matchup between De Smet and SLUH. After a close first half, SLUH was able to pull away in the end to win the game 31-14. While there was a ton of talent on the field, I wanted to focus on some less highly-touted players who caught my attention in Friday's game. With that being said, here are some under the radar standouts from Friday's game between De Smet and SLUH.

[player_tooltip player_id='402127' first='Kyren' last='Eleby'] did a great job of running SLUH's high-powered offense in Friday's win. He completed 11/23 passes for 152 yards. Eleby showed off a very strong arm which he used to stretch the field in the deep passing game. He also showed impressive mobility, showing the ability to escape pressure while keeping his eyes down the field to find the open receiver. When nothing was there, he showed the ability to pick up yards on the ground, finishing the game with four carries for 21 yards. Eleby should be a player to continue to keep an eye on during his senior year.

Eleby's leading target on Friday was Tyler Kozminske. Kozminske hauled in six catches for 68 yards. He showed very reliable hands, catching the ball away from his body with ease, regardless of the coverage around him. Tyler also showed the speed to create separation and pick up yards after the catch. Kozminske should be a player for college coaches to keep an eye on as he continues to develop over the next couple years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1316179' first='Will' last='Schulte'] was another SLUH receiver who caught my attention on Friday. He finished the game with two receptions for 49 yards. Schulte showed impressive speed which he was able to use to blow by opposing defensive backs in the deep passing game. He also proved to be a very reliable jump ball/contested catch target, using his athleticism to attack the ball at its highest point along with the strong hands to bring in the catch through contact. Will should be a player to continue to keep a close eye on this season.

My final under the radar standout from SLUH from Friday's game is [player_tooltip player_id='1188277' first='Kaiden' last='Eleby']. Eleby lined up at left guard where he was very impressive in pass protection. He showed the ability to keep a strong base while absorbing contact, not allowing any penetration into the pocket. Eleby also showed the ability to fight with his hands to maintain inside position with ease. Kaiden has received some college interest and I expect him to be a player to continue to watch over the next two seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598517' first='Cameran' last='Sharp'] is a rising star in the state of Missouri as he was the best player on the offensive side of the ball for De Smet on Friday. Sharp finished the game with 23 carries for 137 yards and a touchdown. He is a shifty ball carrier, showing the ability to make quick cuts to make defenders miss with ease in the open field. Cameran also showed the burst of speed to run away from the defense on long runs. He also finished Friday's game with three receptions for 13 yards. Sharp picked up his first offer from Toledo this offseason and should definitely be a player for college coaches to have on their radar over the next few years.

Despite the loss, [player_tooltip player_id='1250686' first='Gabe' last='Rodriguez'] did have some moments where he impressed on Friday. Rodriguez completed 13/18 passes for 147 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. He threw some impressive deep balls, using his arm strength to lead his receivers down the field with ease. In the short passing game, he showed solid accuracy, showing the ability to hit receivers out of their breaks so that they could make catches in stride. Rodriguez currently holds offers from Rose-Hulman and Greenville, and I expect more to come his way this season.

My final under the radar standout from Friday's game is Wyatt Stoltz. Stoltz led his team in receiving with four catches for 78 yards and a touchdown. He is a skilled route runner, using smooth breaks in his routes to create separation. Stoltz also showed the ability to use his explosive speed to blow by opposing defensive backs in the deep passing game. Wyatt currently holds offers from McKendree and Morningside, and I wouldn't be surprised to see more come his way soon.
