Emmetsburg survived another close win on the road as they took on a 2-2 Titans unit that was able to match up evenly with the E-Hawks offense, with the E-Hawks only finishing slightly ahead of the Titans in total yardage (356-352). A ground-and-pound game with both run offenses controlling the ball, the teams combined for 523 total rushing yards. In the end, with the Titans driving late down by 7, the ball was popped up in the air on a run recovered by the E-Hawks defense to secure another close win to get the E-Hawks up to 4-1.

Top Performer: Krayton Rutledge (SR) - Playing a big role in all three phases of the game, Rutledge caught a 25 yard touchdown pass on offense, recorded an 88 yard punt return touchdown, and had a team-high 9.5 tackles (6 solo) and the game-sealing fumble recovery in the 4th quarter.

A big matchup between two 3-1 units in the conference, Pleasantville headed into difficult territory taking on West Marshall on their homecoming night, but with the benefit of having their star QB [player_tooltip player_id='1197483' first='Braylon' last='Bingham'] back on the field. Bingham would enjoy a stellar night as he pieced apart West Marshall's secondary, combined with several missed opportunities for their offense as they weren't able to turn their 287 yards and 2 INTs on Pleasantville into points, Bingham put the game away in the 4th quarter with a late touchdown to seal a road win to spoil homecoming and get Pleasantville back on the right track following a rough loss last week.

Top Performer: [player_tooltip player_id='1197483' first='Braylon' last='Bingham'] (JR) - The Trojans sorely missed the presence of Bingham last week, who flat out dominated on Friday night, finishing 21 of 35 for 264 yards and 4 TDs to 4 different receivers while leading the team with 119 rushing yards on 20 carries, and adding 7.5 tackles (6 solo) on defense.

Central Springs vs. Eagle Grove: 36-28

Central Springs emerged with a 30-0 lead at halftime as Eagle Grove had no answers all night against the Panthers' run offense. The Panthers had complete control on the ground, rushing for 303 total yards and averaging 8.4 YPC. However, the Eagles refused to go down without a fight, outscoring the Panthers 28-6 in the second half as they clawed their way back into the game to make it a one-score game with just over 2 minutes to go. On Central Springs' final drive, they took a risk with a gutsy 4th and 4 attempt, which they were able to convert as their RB was able to break away from contact from multiple defenders and get to the outside to gain the first down. Initially, it looked as if the RB was stopped short of the line and the play would be whistled dead. In the ensuing arguments that arose between coaches and the referees, Eagle Grove was assessed a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on the coaches, giving the Panthers the first down and the win, ending the game in controversy.

Top Performer: Jamison Rothmeyer (SO) - Rothmeyer was leading the way for the Panthers' deep backfield as they plowed through the Eagles' defense, finishing with 171 rushing yards on just 13 carries (13.2 YPC) and 2 rushing TDs along with a team-high 29 receiving yards on 2 catches. Defensively, Rothmeyer added 3 tackles, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.
