Several players that were not on anybody's radar have been making noise in Section VI this season. Here I will highlight the RBs from the Class of '26 that are putting people on notice.

Dylan Swanson | 5'10 195 lbs. | Cattaraugus/Little Valley | Swanson is entering his 2nd season as the Timberwolves leading back but his 3 TDs in 2025 already matched his output from his junior year. Dylan has a strong lower body and is solid between the tackles.

[player_tooltip player_id='747252' first='Kevin' last='Guy'] | 5'11 205 lbs. | Health Sciences | Guy is a solid between the tackles back that has amassed 100 yards in each of the first two games. The Falcons use a RB by committee with Kevin and fellow senior, [player_tooltip player_id='1212763' first='Kaivohn' last='Pitts'] so him leading the team in rushing each week will be a flip of the coin.

Kyere Smith | 5'11 220 lbs. | Williamsville East | Smith was one of the Flames top defenders last season but this year, he switched to be their workhorse RB and has helped Will East to a 2-0 start in 2025. He is a one cut back between the tackles with breakaway speed.

[player_tooltip player_id='1870495' first='Kevin' last='Sadowski Jr'] | 5'10 180 lbs. | West Seneca East | The Trojans have a 5 headed monster at RB. Sadowski is the one that will lead the team in carries and wear the defense down to open up for his back mates that are breakaway runners.

Payton Sikorski | 5"11 200 lbs. | JFK | JFK was unable to field a varsity team last year so there isn't much film on Sikorski but this past weekend, the Bears picked up their first win in 3 years where Payton ran the ball 17 times for 117 yards and 2 scores.

Jesse Hill | 5'9 160 lbs. | Salamanca | The Warriors are the defending Class C Champions and are off to a hot 2-0 start. Hill is a new name to me but has been the catalyst to their undefeated start with 30 carries for 168 yards and a TD.

Jayvon Funderburk | 5'11 185 lbs. | WNY Maritime/Tapestry | The Seahawks have been an offensive juggernaut this season, scoring 108 points in the first two games. Funderburk has been the focal point running for 426 yards and 6 TDs on 25 carries. Jayvon is an explosive runner with homerun speed averaging an astonishing 17 yards per carry.
