In this article we will look at three players who received an offer from Cortland and three players who received an offer from Western New England.

[player_tooltip player_id='884201' first='Donovan' last='Collins'] has been offered by Cortland. Following the rankings update, He sits at the 359th Overall Player in 2026, and the 34th Defensive Back. St. John Fisher was the first to offer Collins, with Cortland offering a few days later. The Red Dragons are a top team in D3 making this an intriguing offer for him. The Section Three DB, has excellent hands paired with a great IQ. He excels in man coverage, locking down pass catchers, but showcases his IQ in zone looks. Collins is a rising prospect who is poised for a breakout season during his Senior year. I expect more offers and college interests to come his way.

[player_tooltip player_id='606276' first='Keith' last='McDowell']-Offensive Line-Half Hollows Hills East-6'4" 345-Pounds-2026

McDowell received an invitation from Cortland to tour the facilities. Following the rankings update, McDowell sits at 80th in the state, and 15th as an Offensive Lineman. The Section 11 prospect, displays outstanding size paired with good hands. He has a great understanding of leverage and uses his size and strength to create gaps on the LOS. While he is yet to receive an offer, these visits and interest from coaches show he is close to receiving some.

Nicholas DeVito-Quarterback-Smithtown West-6'1" 185-Pounds-2026

Nicholas DeVito has been offered by Cortland. Following the rankings update, He sits at the 380th Overall Player in 2026, and the 41st Defensive Back. The Section 11 prospect has racked up two offers now with Endicott offering him in late July. The D3 Red Dragons have solid depth at the QB position but with rising seniors and open QB battles, he can compete for the job. I expect DeVito to pick up a few more offers as the season continues.

[player_tooltip player_id='1685587' first='Omari' last='Forrest']-Running Back-Niskayuna-5'11" 175-Pounds-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='1685587' first='Omari' last='Forrest'] has been offered by Western New England. Following the rankings release, Forrest shot up the boards going from unranked to 190th in the State, and 42nd at the Running Back position. The Niskayuna star holds four offers now with Cortland, RPI and Ithaca all offering the talented Section Two back. He is a name to watch in the state as he continues to rack up offers. His film proves why as he has elite speed paired with a great IQ which makes him tricky to tackle and allows him to break free for big gains. Forrest is a top back in Section Two and I expect more schools to give him a call soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='575516' first='Omar' last='Mendez Jr'] has been offered by Western New England. Following the rankings release, Mendez Jr sits at 188th in the State and 8th at the EDGE position. Following his Junior season, he announced he will play his final season at Tottenville in Staten Island. The PSAL star now holds three offers with Garden City State offering him in June and a PWO offer from Gannon earlier this year. He is dominant on the LOS and has great pass rushing moves. With a new start at Tottenville, I expect him to receive more interest from colleges as his skills are showcased.

[player_tooltip player_id='1743061' first='Matthew' last='Bentivenga']-Offensive Lineman-Mahopac-5'11" 255-Pounds-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='1743061' first='Matthew' last='Bentivenga'] has been offered by Western New England. Following the rankings release, Bentivenga sits on our Watch List and is one of my top players to look at in Section One. After visiting the campus and attending a camp in early August, the Golden Bears like the Mahopac Senior. Standing at 5'11", 235-Pounds, he displays a solid size for the position. He has excellent strength and good hand placement which show on tape. Bentivenga is player who will find himself ranked soon and should expect interest and offers to continue to roll in.
