Week 1 Highlights: Playmakers Making Their Mark

Florida has long been a hotbed of high school football talent. Annually, Florida produces some of the nation's top prospects. Florida athletes are known for their speed, agility, and raw athleticism. These prospects have made names for themselves and have caught the attention of coaches and scouts at the collegiate level. With the 2025 season getting closer, we're looking for players whose stock is rising in the state.   These players are all talented and have college-level abilities. Some of these players have a few offers, but all of them have the ability to play college football at some level.   There are some big-time, highly rated prospects and several sleeper prospects who should all be getting looks for the next level. This list is full of stud prospects.   Prep Redzone Florida will always support every player on their journey to playing college football.   Jacob Butler (c/o 2026) Position: Running Back / Inside Linebacker School: Gaither High Height/Weight: 6'0”, 225 lbs Week 1 Stats: 2 carries for 9 yards; 12 tackles, 1 TFL   Scouting Report: Butler is a physical, downhill player who makes his biggest impact on defense. At linebacker, he diagnoses plays quickly and attacks the line of scrimmage with power, bringing physicality to every tackle. His size and strength allow him to shed blocks and stuff the run, while his instincts keeps him around the football. On offense, he provides a power-back presence with the ability to wear down defenses. Butler's versatility and intensity make him a tone-setter for the Cowboys.   Dwayne Williams Jr. (c/o 2027) Position: Linebacker School: Wharton High Height/Weight: 6'1”, 200 lbs Week 1 Stats: 6 tackles, 3 TFL, 2 sacks, 3 QB hurries Additional: 4.67 40-yard dash   Scouting Report: Williams is an explosive edge defender who thrives in the backfield. His burst off the snap and relentless motor allow him to consistently pressure quarterbacks and disrupt running plays. He plays with controlled aggression, using his length and speed to disengage from blockers. With a natural feel for timing blitzes, Williams is a constant threat in passing situations and a versatile linebacker capable of making plays sideline-to-sideline.   Mark Del Cukut (c/o 2026) Position: Middle Linebacker School: Plant High Height/Weight: 6'0”, 220 lbs Week 1 Stats: 8 tackles, 1 TFL, 2 QB hits Additional: All-Region Linebacker; GPA: 3.8   Scouting Report: Del Cukut is a steady, reliable force in the middle of the defense. He reads blocks well and fills gaps with physicality, making him a dependable run-stopper. His Week 1 performance showcased his ability to apply pressure on the quarterback while maintaining discipline in run defense. A student of the game with strong instincts and leadership qualities, Del Cukut plays with a high football IQ and is the type of linebacker who keeps a defense organized.   Kyle Olson (c/o 2026) Position: Outside Linebacker / Athlete School: Oviedo High Height/Weight: 5'11”, 190 lbs Week 1 Stats: 16 tackles, 1 interception Additional: College Offer – Millsaps College   Scouting Report: Olson is a high-motor defender with a nose for the football. His sideline-to-sideline range and relentless pursuit allow him to pile up tackles, while his coverage ability sets him apart from many linebackers. The interception in Week 1 highlights his instincts and versatility, as he can drop back effectively while still being aggressive against the run. Olson brings energy, toughness, and playmaking ability to his defense.   Blaze Allen (c/o 2027) Position: Inside / Outside Linebacker School: Bishop Moore High Height/Weight: 6'0”, 205 lbs Week 1 Stats: 11 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 sack GPA: 3.72   Scouting Report: Allen is a versatile linebacker capable of playing inside or outside with equal effectiveness. He has a strong build and plays with physicality, making him difficult to block in space. His Week 1 performance showed his ability to make impact plays both against the run and as a pass rusher. Allen's balance of toughness, discipline, and effort makes him a reliable defender who can contribute in multiple roles.
