McCullough was talked up highly by his coaches when I went to check out North Cobb Christian this spring. He went 11/21 for 197 and 3 TDs in his season debut. McCullough is tall and wiry with a natural release. He can mix up arm angles and has some easy life on the ball. He is athletic enough to stay ahead of the chains and operate outside of the pocket. He looks like a more confident passer than he did this spring and has plenty of room for physical development.

It was a really impressive full-time starting debut for [player_tooltip player_id='455295' first='Sawyer' last='Ray'] at Cherokee, and he admittedly exceeded my expectations. He went 14/16 for 135 yards and a TD while adding another 60 yards on the ground on 10 carries. Ray has a lot of juice in his smaller frame. He is an explosive athlete who can be more than just a chain mover with his legs. He has a quick release and looks like he can efficiently dispense the ball around, which is what Cherokee likes to do offensively.

Damarion Davis reeled in 5 receptions for 74 yards to kick off his sophomore season. After checking out his tape, I am definitely intrigued. He is a loose, lean athlete with plenty of room left to add weight. He has a real easy, natural athleticism to him. He is a smooth mover who drives off the line and sets up opportunities for himself underneath. He has plenty of room to pack on more weight and become a more explosive athlete. Davis operates on skates and has a lot of developmental upside. I will keep an eye on him moving forward.

Owens reeled in 5 receptions for 67 yards and a TD in a season-opening victory over Beach. He comes in at 5'9 165 with a cut frame. He is well-developed for his age, both physically and in his game. He is a true slot projection who will cause damage after the catch, but he pairs good footwork with explosiveness at the top of his routes, allowing him to separate. He can mix up speeds and paces with and without the ball. He is a well-rounded, well-developed playmaker who should have several productive outings this fall. I am expecting him to generate D1 buzz down the line.

Singleton, now up to 5'10 180, was productive against the ball to kick off his sophomore season against Archer, finishing with 1 INT and a PBU in a 28-14 win. Singleton is pesky and remains physical throughout the route process. Given his size and his physicality, he projects best as a nickel. I will keep a close eye on him this fall.
