Florida has long been a hotbed of high school football talent. Annually, Florida produces some of the nation's top prospects. Florida athletes are known for their speed, agility, and raw athleticism. These prospects have made names for themselves and have caught the attention of coaches and scouts at the collegiate level. With the 2025 season getting closer, we're looking for players whose stock is rising in the state.

These players are all talented and have college-level abilities. Some of these players have a few offers, but all of them have the ability to play college football at some level.

There are some big-time, highly rated prospects and several sleeper prospects who should all be getting looks for the next level. This list is full of stud prospects.

Prep Redzone Florida will always support every player on their journey to playing college football.

Marko Fernandez c/o 27

Position: Strong Safety
School: Palmetto High
Height/Weight: 5'11”, 180 lbs
Week 0 Stats: 5 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 1 interception
GPA: 3.5

Evaluation: Fernandez shows strong instincts and a nose for the football in the secondary. He plays with confidence in coverage, quickly diagnosing plays and breaking on the ball with aggression. His ability to create turnovers was on display with both a forced fumble and an interception in Week 0, highlighting his impact as a playmaker. Fernandez takes efficient angles to the ball carrier and is a willing tackler who doesn't shy away from contact. His combination of football IQ and physicality makes him a reliable presence at strong safety, capable of contributing against both the run and the pass.

[player_tooltip player_id='1681618' first='Colton' last='Haywood'] c/o 27

Height/Weight: 6'0”, 205 lbs
Week 0 Stats: 4 tackles, 1 interception (game cut short due to weather)
GPA: 4.45

Evaluation: Haywood makes his presence felt in the middle of Jesuit's defense. At 6'0”, 205 pounds, he plays with a strong frame and the physicality needed to shed blocks and meet ball carriers head-on. His football IQ is evident in how quickly he diagnoses plays, putting himself in the right spot to make tackles. Even in a shortened game, he recorded an interception, showing both his awareness in coverage and ability to capitalize on mistakes. His tackling is clean and consistent, limiting extra yards after contact. Beyond his on-field ability, Haywood carries an impressive 4.45 GPA, highlighting his discipline and leadership off the field.

Tre'Jon Cottle c/o 26

Position: Defensive End
School: Impact Christian Academy
Height/Weight: 6'3”, 225 lbs
Week 0 Stats: 5 tackles, 2 TFL

Evaluation: Cottle set the tone in the trenches during Week 0, recording 5 tackles and 2 tackles for loss. At 6'3”, 225 pounds, he brings a combination of length and athleticism that makes him disruptive off the edge. His quick first step and ability to shed blocks allowed him to consistently create pressure and collapse plays in the backfield. Cottle's performance showcased his high motor and impact potential as a difference-maker on the defensive line.

Fenway Cochrane c/o 28

Position: Offensive Guard
School: West Orange High
Height/Weight: 6'2”, 295 lbs
GPA: 4.2
College Offers: Rhode Island University

Evaluation: Fenway Cochrane is already making his presence felt in the trenches as part of the Class of 2028. At 6'2”, 295 pounds, he brings a powerful frame to the interior offensive line, showing the strength and leverage to win one-on-one battles in the run game. His quick feet allow him to get into position effectively, while his heavy hands create movement at the point of attack.

Off the field, Cochrane shines in the classroom with a 4.2 GPA, showcasing the discipline and work ethic that carry over into his game. His strong academic profile combined with his on-field talent has already earned him his first Division I offer from Rhode Island University, and more opportunities are sure to follow.

Issac Farling c/o 28

Position: Running Back
School: Mount Dora Christian Academy
Height/Weight: 6'0”, 200 lbs
Week 0 Stats: 20 carries, 104 yards, 1 TD
GPA: 3.5

Evaluation: Farling set the tone for Mount Dora Christian Academy in Week 0 with a workhorse performance, carrying the ball 20 times and grinding out over 100 yards on the ground. At 6'0”, 200 pounds, he brings a balanced frame that combines strength to finish runs with enough speed to break into the second level. His vision and ability to follow his blockers stood out, consistently finding positive yardage even in tight spaces. With his size and durability, Farling projects as a reliable every-down back who can wear down defenses over the course of a game.
