Uncovered Gems: Saginaw North no.3

I hope to catch a Saginaw North league game in person this season! This is one of few leagues that I have never watched in person. For now, here's my evals regarding five more players.    Kid's got an arm. The highlight at 0:48 is an absolute dot thrown about 40 yards. Not many freshmen can launch it that far; fewer can do so accurately. The next play (0:53), Bo flashes some nice vision, elusiveness, and even a bit of contact balance. Heck, he's even got a handful of highlights at linebacker.   Bo's got promise. I'm looking forward to seeing how he's improved.      Zimmer's first highlight is one awesome attention grabber. This highlight showcases exceptional vision and great elusiveness in tight traffic. It looks like two defenders needed ankle surgery after Jameson's moves.   Next highlight, Zimmer further showcases his elusiveness, this time as a receiver. Zimmer is able to secure the catch, then immediately break a defender's ankles and break two more tackles before being stopped inside the 5.   This trend continues. Time and again, Zimmer displays excellent vision and generally phenomenal open-field ability. I don't say any of this lightly. If Zimmer can continue to fill out his frame and add a little more speed, he could be a really good prospect.      Promising Quarterback from Mt. Pleasant.   Plays like 1:44 show some upside. A decent 5-step drop and quick throw to the flat. Next play, Jake converts a nice throw under pressure. Finally, at 2:55, Hutchins remains calm in the pocket and delivers a strike toward the sideline. He does his best work when standing calm in the pocket with time to throw. His mechanics are good enough for Varsity, but the footwork does need a bit of work.      Torry runs with zero fear. He's a pure north-south guy who commonly catches defenders flat-footed.   The first highlight showcases that excellent north-south running. He runs into quite a bit of traffic at the line of scrimmage, doesn't panic, keeps his momentum, and bursts through the second level, breaking two tackles in the process. At running back, you can count on Torry's efficiency.   Additionally, there are some promising defensive highlights. He seems to be a capable DB with solid ball skills. Lastly, there are a few blocking highlights (playing WR) making me confident in Torry's physicality.      Talk about a great speed in space player.   As a freshman, Greyson dealt significant damage to opposing defenses. His bread and butter was the Jet Sweep. At his best, Greyson is able to win the outside and outrun the opposing secondary. Defenders tend to underestimate Greyson's speed and take poor angles. I'm also seeing promise in Greyson's vision. A few good cutbacks on tape.   There are also a few promising plays on defense / special teams. Love that he played all three phases.   Feil is looking like a future star. Love what he showed as a freshman. This season, I'd like to see a bit more offensive versatility, in addition to upgraded elusiveness.
