Top 2029 Prospects Heading into the Season

<p>With week zero kicking off next week, we look at some (not all) top 2029 prospects. Below are their evaluations and information. </p>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1663245' first='Dereon' last='Holt'] is the top running back in the 2029 class right now. Holt possesses the talent to play at the next level. He displays good pre- and post-snap vision, reading the first level, locating and attacking the running lane with good burst. Holt showcases good footwork to navigate and lateral quickness through traffic. I expect him to continue his development and take a major leap in 2025. He displays solid initial quickness off the snap. He moves into his base and reach blocks effectively. This allows him to either set the edge or displace defenders from gaps. He utilizes active feet and solid hand placement. He's extremely athletic and will create separation and make defenders miss in space. He displays a solid release due to his solid acceleration and foot quickness. His route running is proficient. White creates separation off his breaks due to his solid COD, balance, and burst. He's a threat post-catch as he showcases solid COD, lateral quickness, contact balance, and upfield burst. He displays good hand-eye coordination and body control to adjust mid-route and give his quarterback a bigger window. He played quarterback often last season and has taken a lot of reps at wide receiver this off-season. He has good athletic ability that is dangerous in space. Hampton displays good change of direction, contact balance, and acceleration post-catch to get upfield quickly.
