In an off-season filled with some interesting football stories in the state of Florida, one of the most impressive and program defining could have taken place at The Villages Charter in Middleton.

North of Orlando and to the south of Ocala, this program has been the talk of the state for its amazing facilities – which hosted the Sunshine State Athletic Association and Rural championships last season.

But somewhere this spring and summer, the football program began to take center stage. Not just as a team that is growing, but one that has the talent and coaching to contend this year.

With Florida Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Famer Richard Pettus calling the shots and an impressive staff, talent has been added and the mindset of this program has changed as the Buffalo look to go 2-0 on Friday at home against Lecanto.
