The Organ Mountain defense had no answer for Eldorado's [player_tooltip player_id='1155116' first='Jahari' last='Morehead'], who runs the 40 in 4.42 seconds. Morehead amassed nearly 300 receiving yards and scored 4 TD for the Eagles, which jumped out to a 28-0 lead early in the second quarter and were never seriously threatened by the Knights after that. Eldorado's first four TD came on a scoop and score off a blocked punt by [player_tooltip player_id='1613745' first='Matteo' last='Quintana'], 22-yard TD run by RB Nolan Romero-Willaims, a beautifully thrown 28-yard TD pass by QB [player_tooltip player_id='1248671' first='Giovanni' last='Evans'] to Morehead and an 89-yard catch-and-run by Morehead, who was wide open behind the Knights secondary. Eldorado led, 35-14, at halftime.

St. Pius X 47, West Mesa 29

The prolific and talent-rich St. Pius X offense was hitting on all cylinder early, scoring four touchdowns before the midway point of the second quarter. Sartans RB [player_tooltip player_id='1154954' first='Hershul' last='Olloway'], who has been offered by New Mexico and UTEP, raced 70 yards for a TD on the game's first offensive play (and his first touch of the season). St. Pius X is very explosive and capable of scoring from any point on the field at any time. WR [player_tooltip player_id='1155012' first='Curtis' last='Flakes III'] caught a 91-yard TD pass from rocket-armed QB [player_tooltip player_id='1154948' first='Isaiah' last='Carpenter'] in the first quarter. The Sartans led, 35-21, at halftime and held off the Mustangs in the second half.

Albuquerque Academy 42, Moriarty 21

Beginning their third season under head coach David Lee, Albuquerque Academy broke the game open with a pair of TD passes by QB [player_tooltip player_id='1369761' first='William' last='Braun'] in the third quarter to take a 42-7 lead heading into the fourth. Moriarty scored twice in the fourth quarter to make the final score more respectable, but the Chargers dominated this one from start to finish. The best player on the field might have been Albuquerque Academy 6-foot-5 WR/PK [player_tooltip player_id='851898' first='Gage' last='Conway'], who caught multiple TD passes (on his final TD catch, he caught a pass over the middle around the 15-yard line and dragged several Moriarty defenders into the end zone) and nearly connected on a 58-yard FG attempt. He also boomed several punts.
