It's getting to be just about that time in Central Texas, and from Texas to San Antonio and everywhere in between, the offenses are getting ready to come out firing on all cylinders. While most of the offensive spotlight is usually on the gunslingers out of this area, the units that protect these guys are just as important and talented. As the season nears, it is evident that there is plenty of trench talent in the 2027 class out of this region.

Scott possesses a massive frame with polished footwork at the left tackle position. He demonstrates a very quick first step that he uses in a strong pass pro set. Scott also uses his violent footwork and hips to explode into gaps and zones in the run game. Kaeden competes with a high motor, consistently striking his hands into defenders and driving his feet through this whistle. He also has solid bend on the edge, which, combined with his footwork and power, leads to a pocket protector that projects to a Power 4 starter. But for now, Scott will look to continue his development and lead the Rough Riders to a title run. He currently holds 20+ offers from schools such as Texas, Ohio State, and Ole Miss.

Another monster of a left tackle, Cook showcases his expertise in firing out of his hips and mauling defenders in the run game. He's got some downright nastiness to his game, always finishing defenders into the ground and staying aggressive sifting through zone schemes downfield. Jackson displays strong ability in pass protection as well, with a strong set, good pad-level, along with controlled and intentional hands. The tough-nosed left anchor also possesses solid bend and change of direction around the pocket. Expect Cook to take a major leap forward during his junior season for the powerhouse Chaps. Jackson already holds offers from schools such as Texas Tech, Kansas State, and Duke.

Shifting over to the right tackle position, Mack is a tank of an edge protector that flourishes in the run game. He showcases a consistent and strong get-off in zone schemes along with good pad-level. He uses his massive frame to open running lanes at the line of scrimmage and into the second level. Jayden also flashes some solid pass pro sets, as even for his giant guard-like frame, he possesses solid footwork and the bend to recover outside the pocket. The Hippos' right anchor already holds 16 offers from schools such as Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and Arizona State. Mack should be in store for an elite junior season.

An extremely versatile and impactful trench warrior, Timms flexes all over the line of scrimmage, getting reps wherever he's needed at both guard and tackle. Avery plays with polished footwork, pad-level, and change of direction. These traits allow him to succeed in pass protection at left tackle or right tackle, and everywhere in between. Timms also possesses a strong ability in the run game, striking out of his hips and seeking contact in the second level. For now, Avery will continue to help lead the Kangaroos' offense, but as he enters his junior year, he already has put together an offer list that includes schools such as Baylor, Duke, and Arizona State.

Our first pure guard of the hour, Hudson, is a mauler of a left guard that excels at creating an agile, moving wall in the A gap. He possesses a legitimate Power 4 guard frame with surprisingly quick feet and change of direction. He still has some rawness to his game, but his combination of athleticism and elite strength makes a case for a national-level interior line prospect. Once he strikes his hands into a defender and sets an anchor, they are done for. The Greywolves will lean on Hudson in the run game this season, as he develops and builds upon an early offer list of Liberty and Washington State.
