Preseason Review - Summer Creek Bulldogs

Summer Creek, coming off an impressive 12-3 season and a strong 5-1 mark in district play, enters 2025 with momentum and high expectations. Under the leadership of Head Coach Kenny Harrison, the Bulldogs have continued to build a culture rooted in toughness, discipline, and consistent execution on both sides of the ball. After a deep playoff run last year, Summer Creek looks to take the next step and emerge as one of the premier programs in the state. With a strong returning core and a coaching staff that knows how to win big games, the Bulldogs are poised for another breakout year. He's competing for the starting job and showing steady growth with his command of the offense. Blake has good arm strength, makes confident reads, and continues to develop as a leader. As he gains reps, his poise and timing in the pocket are starting to separate him from the pack.     Keshawn is a running back looking to carry the load this season. He rushed for over 500 yards and 9 touchdowns last year, showing his ability to produce when given opportunities. He runs with power and balance, breaks tackles, and can finish runs. As he steps into a bigger role, Keshawn is poised to be a key piece of the offense.      Braylin is a tough, dependable running back who rushed for over 400 yards and 7 touchdowns last season. He brings a physical running style, showing good vision and the ability to hit the hole with purpose. Whether it's short-yardage or open field, Braylin finds ways to move the chains. With more touches this year, he's a strong candidate for a breakout season.      Benny is an explosive wide receiver with offers from Colorado State, UTEP, and Oklahoma State. He's a smooth route runner with strong hands and the ability to create separation at all levels of the field. What sets him apart is his speed and tracking ability downfield he consistently wins vertically and has become a true deep threat. Been makes contested catches, shows great body control in traffic, and can take the top off a defense at any moment.      Holden is a wide receiver who's been locked in all offseason hitting camps, refining his craft, and putting it all together this summer. With over 400 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, he's shown he can be a reliable playmaker in the red zone and in space. As the season approaches, Holden is ready to translate all that work into production and take his game to another level.      Tre is a dynamic wide receiver with offers from Baylor, Arizona, TCU, UTSA, and UCF. He's a crisp route runner with strong hands and explosive acceleration off the line. Tre creates separation with ease and has legit top-end speed that allows him to blow past defenders and stretch the field. He's dangerous after the catch and can turn a slant into a touchdown in a flash. His speed, burst, and big play ability make him one of the most electrifying receivers in his class.      Jamicah is ready to polish his skills this year and step up as a reliable weapon for his team. With improved route running and stronger hands, he's set to make a bigger impact in the passing game.      Joseph recorded 44 solo tackles and 69 total tackles last season, showing strong instincts and the ability to quickly diagnose plays. He's reliable in run support and continues to improve his pass coverage skills, effectively matching up with tight ends and running backs. With his leadership and consistent effort, Joseph is a key piece of the defense poised for an impactful season.      Tyson is a linebacker who brings strong instincts and consistency to the defense. He reads plays well, fills gaps reliably, and works hard to limit yards after contact. Tyson's tackling and ability to stay disciplined in coverage make him a dependable presence on the field.      Cody is a defensive back looking to take his game to the next level this season. He's focused on improving his coverage skills, ball awareness, and tackling consistency. With his work ethic and determination, Cody is poised to become a more impactful presence in the secondary.      Brinley is a linebacker who brings solid instincts and reliable tackling to the defense. He reads plays quickly and consistently fills his assignments, showing good discipline in both run support and coverage. Brinley's steady effort and leadership make him a key contributor on the field.      Van is a defensive lineman who recently picked up an offer from Sam Houston State after a strong summer showing. He's ready to put to work everything he learned at camp and take his game to the next level this season. Van's growth and dedication make him a player to watch on the defensive front.      Noah who is a left handed quarterback who just transferred to Summer Creek, is ready to compete for the starting job. Known for his strong arm and ability to make quick decisions, Noah brings a unique angle to the offense that can create mismatches for defenses. His mobility and poise in the pocket allow him to extend plays and find open targets downfield. As he gets comfortable with the playbook, Noah looks poised to make an immediate impact and lead the team. Noah has two offers; UIW and UTSA.      Kyle Mallory is a defensive lineman who brings strength and technique to the trenches. He consistently fights off blockers and works hard to disrupt plays in the backfield. With solid hand usage and quickness off the snap, Kyle is a key part of the defensive line rotation.      Keyshawn is an offensive lineman focused on getting right this season. With renewed effort and technique refinement, he's aiming to anchor the line and provide strong protection in both run and pass situations.      Tyler is a tight end looking to add a new dimension to the offense this season. With his combination of size, hands, and route-running ability, he's poised to become a reliable target in the passing game and a solid blocker in the run game.     Jonathan is an offensive lineman who combines solid technique with a strong work ethic. He consistently improves his footwork, hand placement, and strength, which helps him create running lanes and protect the quarterback effectively. His steady improvement and consistency make him a key part of the offensive front.      Rice is looking to join the Bulldogs and add to a strong defensive unit.
