Preseason Review - Lone Star Rangers

The Lone Star Rangers are coming off a dominant 12-1 season where they went 7-1 in district play, showing once again why they're one of the premier programs in the area. Led by Head Coach Jeff Rayburn, the Rangers have built their identity on discipline, physicality, and explosive playmaking on both sides of the ball. The team returns plenty of talent and experience, and the standard remains the same compete for a district title and make another deep playoff run. After last year's success, Lone Star wants to finish what they started and push even further, with their ultimate goal being a shot at a state championship. Davian, who recently committed to Florida, is a major weapon at the wide receiver position. He brings elite speed, strong hands, and the ability to create separation that makes him a nightmare for opposing secondaries. His route running continues to improve, and he has shown he can make big plays both down the field and in the short game after the catch. Davian's commitment to Florida speaks volumes about his talent and upside, and he'll be a go to target for Lone Star this season as they look to keep their offense explosive and balanced.     John is a quarterback who is looking to add valuable depth and competition to the Lone Star quarterback room. He's continuing to develop his game, showing flashes of poise in the pocket along with a solid arm that allows him to make the necessary throws. His presence gives the Rangers more options at the position and helps push everyone in the room to elevate their play. As he grows in confidence and consistency, John has the potential to become a steady contributor and provide the team with another reliable option under center.     Ryder, an Oklahoma commit, is a key piece at the tight end position for Lone Star. At 6'4 with great size and athleticism, he creates mismatches against linebackers and safeties, giving the Rangers a reliable target in the passing game. He has strong hands, runs crisp routes, and can also be a physical blocker in the run game, making him a complete tight end.
