The high school transfer situation is starting to resemble the transfer situation happening in college football. Here are a few new additions from out-of-state into Missouri to know.

Riley Smith QB St. Mary's 2026
This gunslinger from Illinois will definitely be a name to know as he will make an impact with the Dragons as their starting quarterback for the 2025 season. The 6'0" 175 Smith is a very mobile and athletic QB who can hurt you with his legs if needed, but it's his arm that he will do the most damage with. He sees the field well and has a quick release to get rid of the ball with good accuracy to complete the majority of his passes with. He will help make the stable of talented young receivers and big-time running back [player_tooltip player_id='1452148' first='Kingston' last='Miles'] even more dangerous in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='1702673' first='Youssef' last='Mostafa'] RB Chaminade 2027
Transferred into St. Louis from Plainfield, Illinois, where he had an outstanding sophomore season averaging over 11 yards per carry, and was considered amongst the top rising running backs in his class in that state. His arrival to the Red Devils looks like he will pick up with them where he left off. Mostafa 5'8" 180 is compact and powerful runner with some nice shiftiness to his running style, and good acceleration when he stops and starts. Look for him to make an impact this season.

Kevin Gilyard OL Cardinal Ritter 2027
A massive 6'5" 328 offensive line addition to the Lions who transferred in from Concord, North Carolina. Gilyard moves well and shows good athleticism for any size, but especially for a young lineman 300-plus pounds. He is a powerful run blocker who opens holes and can stack pancakes, while also showing solid pass pro skills. He looks to have the ability to play either guard or tackle and should help solidify a good Ritter O-line in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='1288131' first='Jerrion' last='Culberson'] OL Lift For Life 2028
The linemen just keep growing bigger ands bigger at a young age. The 6'8" 330 Culberson is among the biggest in the St. Louis area now after transferring from across the river from East St. Louis. I just had the chance to see him this weekend with his new team at a jamboree, and despite being new and still trying to familiarize himself with the playbook, Big Jerri looked good with the second team moving linemen and linebackers back a good five yards with his size and strength alone. He's raw but moves very well and will continue to get better. Once he does he will be a name to know in the future.
