Prospects across Louisiana continued announcing college commitments as July wound down.

Here's a look at a few of the offensive standouts who shared their next-level plans during the back half of this month, including a pair of standouts from each of Edna Karr and Destrehan players among the notable moves an d four different Southland Conference programs landing pledges.

[player_tooltip player_id='1737475' first='Keidrick' last='Bailey Jr.'] — 6-2, 290 OL — Zachary —> Southeastern Louisiana

The highest-ranked of three offensive linemen on this list, the Broncos' right guard has good athleticism and motor for the position that flashes on film on plays on which he pulls across the formation or gets upfield (in some well upfield) in the running game, and he packs a powerful punch to put defenders on the turf. Southeastern Louisiana doesn't have a Zachary product listed on its roster this fall, but now has a couple of good ones committed to the 2026 class in "K.J." and linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='740993' first='Dylan' last='Shelmire'].

[player_tooltip player_id='401763' first='Jackson' last='Fields'] — 6-1, 195 QB — Destrehan —> Incarnate Word

The Cardinals landed a notable recruiting coup in Louisiana by managing to dip into The Boot for one of this year's top quarterback prospects in the state from just a short drive from Southland Conference foe Nicholls State, which was once the favorite to land Fields. The Destrehan quarterback has been a key catalyst for the program's high-powered offense his past two years at the helm, distributing the ball to his loaded receiving corps and also making critical plays with his legs when necessary.

[player_tooltip player_id='1736616' first='Tre' last='Garrison'] — 5-11, 190 RB — Edna Karr —> Nicholls State

Nearby Nicholls State coaches were impressed with Garrison at Edna Karr's spring game at Destrehan and were among the programs to make their immediate move on the powerful rising senior running back that night. Garrison announced his commitment to the program later in the summer, giving the Colonels a thunder-and-lightning duo in their class along with Brusly track-burner [player_tooltip player_id='1736838' first='Patrick' last='Gales'].

[player_tooltip player_id='710980' first='Graham' last='Harris'] — 6-2, 295 OL — Central (Baton Rouge) —> Northwestern State

Also in the Southland Conference, the Demons landed a commitment from a member of Louisiana's solid offensive line class — the left tackle for the Division-I Non-Select state champions, a player consistently praised by his coaches and teammates for his leadership for the program that has ascended to new heights the past couple years. Harris is a tenacious blocker with some nastiness to his game who may be more likely to slide inside at the next level, but has more than held his own on the outside at Louisiana's highest classification and competition level.

[player_tooltip player_id='212339' first='Braylon' last='Montero'] — 6-2, 315 OL/DL — Destrehan —> Arkansas-Monticello

Another of Destrehan's rising senior leaders to lock in his college plans prior to this season, Montero worked his way into being a notable two-way contributor in the trenches this past fall with his stout, strong build and good mobility at his size helping make him a great fit at guard in addition to his work on the defensive line.

[player_tooltip player_id='920701' first='Cameron' last='Munford'] — 6-1, 240 TE — Edna Karr —> Alabama A&M

Another Edna Karr standout headed to a Division-I program after this season, Munford is a big, physical tight end and H-back who is an effective additional blocker and pass-catcher whether lined up alongside either tackle or in the backfield. While he may not run 40 times that pop off the page, he can smoothly get downfield through the secondary for big plays, reliably tracking and catching throws his way when given the opportunity.

[player_tooltip player_id='1601853' first='Owen' last='Trosclair'] — 5-9, 165 ATH — Covenant Christian —> UNO Baseball

A versatile multiphase and multisport Covenant Christian standout wraps up the latest list of commitment announcements with his plans to play baseball at the next level. Trosclair earned all-state selections in both baseball and football as a junior — the superlative Outstanding Player in baseball and an athlete distinction in football for his well-rounded, three-phase résumé. He completed 105 of 138 passes for 1,755 yards and 24 touchdowns, rushed for another 425 yards and four scores, racked up six sacks and 12 tackles for loss on defense and blocked a punt and a field goal on special teams.
