The 2025 high school football season is now just one month away — during which time Prep Redzone Louisiana will release rankings updates for the 2026, 2027 and 2028 recruiting classes and the first watch list for the incoming 2029 class.

That process began this week with the senior class, a 350-man list for the 2026 cycle that includes dozens of prospects already committed to Division-I programs and even more still looking for their homes at the next level.

As part of the update release, we will count down the top 50 prospects in greater detail, including many familiar faces but also a few new additions.

Here's a look at Nos. 20-11.

No. 20 — [player_tooltip player_id='1345252' first='Tyrone' last='Morgan'] — 6-4, 230 DL/EDGE — Woodlawn (Baton Rouge)

The versatile defensive lineman was one of the state's biggest stock-risers on the heels of his junior season and holds steady in the top 20 heading into his senior year. Morgan is a quick, athletic edge rusher with an explosive first step and active hands that all combine to give opposing blockers fits keeping in front of him. And, as he continued to get notably bigger and stronger the past two offseasons, he's also established himself as a disruptive force on reps working on the interior. Morgan committed to Baylor earlier this summer.

No. 19 — [player_tooltip player_id='920694' first='Julian' last='Burns'] — 6-2, 190 DB — Neville

The North Carolina commit is a long safety with a strong build who plays well in coverage for a talented Neville secondary, but particularly stands out in the physical aspect of the game with somewhat of a linebacker mentality as he crashes down and unloads on ball-carriers and receivers over the middle. Burns racked up 81 tackles and two interceptions as a junior as one half of a hyper-productive safety duo with a case as one of the — if not the — state's best.

No. 18 — [player_tooltip player_id='401969' first='Jamarcea' last='Plater'] — 5-9, 180 RB/ATH — Captain Shreve

The biggest note on the Wake Forest commitment is the adjustment of his listing from ATH/RB to RB/ATH, where he now enters his senior season as the state's top-ranked back after his breakout junior campaign at the position. The quick, explosive athlete had been highly ranked on every Prep Redzone Louisiana update from his freshman year. That placement came early on as a versatile defensive back with good ball skills before bursting onto the larger radar this fall with 2,234 yards and 29 scores in his first season as a full-time ball-carrier. While he is on the smaller-back side, he is muscular and tough and plays with good balance to be effective through contact to go along with his track speed in the open field.

No. 17 — [player_tooltip player_id='740982' first='Chris' last='Addison'] — 6-4, 225 EDGE — Franklin Parish

A nice climb for the Patriots' defensive standout, who appeared this spring to be among the posterboys for his program's conditioning program as he looked leaner and more toned than ever and said he has enjoyed notable strides in the weight room. Addison, who committed to Michigan State this summer, was a Class 4A all-state honorable mention as a junior with 63 total tackles, including 16 for loss and 8.5 sacks, and looks poised for another big step forward in his final high school season

No. 16 — [player_tooltip player_id='920613' first='Jakai' last='Anderson'] — 6-0, 160 WR

Expect more news this week on the SMU commitment who is poised to transfer to another New Orleans area program after his all-state junior season at McDonogh 35. Anderson is a quick, dynamic athlete who has been an electric playmaker in all three phases during the course of his high school career. This past year, he caught 57 passes for 972 yards and 14 scores, while also rushing 16 times for 151 yards and four touchdowns and racking up a combined 518 yards and seven house-calls on punt and kick returns.

No. 15 — [player_tooltip player_id='1345158' first='Blaise' last='Thomassie'] — 6-5, 275 OL — Catholic (Baton Rouge)

The Bears' left tackle this season, a Stanford commitment, is one of the state's top senior offensive linemen as a reliable and versatile blocker who has seen some action at both tackle spots and, though he has largely been projected as sliding inside in college may have the potential to play anywhere on the line. Thomassie has a stout, strong base and plays with good balance. And in addition to the obvious intelligence to be able to earn a Stanford opportunity, he has shown notable physical and mental toughness during his high school career.

No. 14 — [player_tooltip player_id='920606' first='Darryus' last='McKinley'] — 6-3, 275 DL/EDGE — Acadiana

LSU's latest in-state commitment, McKinley has developed from a longer, leaner edge rusher as a freshman to a bigger, more powerful and versatile defensive lineman as an upperclassman — not playing at nearly 60 pounds heavier, while still with good quickness with both his feet and hands as he works past blockers to make disruptive plays. He was credited with 43 tackles, including 18 for loss and eight tackles, as a junior.

No. 13 — [player_tooltip player_id='401111' first='JaMichael' last='Garrett'] — 6-1, 195 LB — Central (Baton Rouge)

The one-time Auburn commitment is the highest-ranking debut in this round of updates following his move into the state from Alabama. Garrett is a hyper-active tackling machine who flies around the field from sideline to sideline and navigates traffic well in the box to seem to constantly be around the play. He possesses good size and speed for the position and looks equally comfortable and confident dropping into coverage or getting physical tracking down and unloading on opposing rushers.

No. 12 — [player_tooltip player_id='283987' first='Roderick' last='Tezeno Jr.'] — 6-2, 175 WR — Opelousas Catholic

The USC commit climbs again to just outside the top 10 after a strong offseason on the 7-on-7 circuit where he racked up a slew of highlight-reel plays on both sides of the ball with his long frame, speed down the field and high-end ball skills. Tezeno was one of the state's top-performing pass-catchers throughout the spring 7-on-7 action and made plays at safety on which he chased down deep throws and snatched interceptions so cleanly as to make even tough, one-handed, over-the-shoulder plays look easy.

No. 11 — [player_tooltip player_id='401954' first='Dylan' last='Berymon'] — 6-3, 305 DL — Ouachita Parish

The Lions' standout has been among the state's top-ranked prospects in the class throughout the group's high school career and ultimately landed with Texas this summer on the recruiting trail. Berymon is a big, powerful interior disruptor who fires off the line and drives his blockers backward even when facing double teams, and he has shown the quickness to work from the outside in high school and generate edge rush against opposing tackles.
