The recruiting clock is all over the place these days. With so much roster movement within college programs, high schoolers are forced to be patient at times. No need to panic if you're still on the board with your senior season beginning. There's still opportunity to impress scouts that will end up with openings on the next level.

An accomplished wrestler, Jaspers is a versatile, two-way contributor for the Mustang football program. He ran for 250 yards and two touchdowns, caught 59 passes for 867 yards and eight scores, recorded 42.5 tackles (34 solo, 6.0 TFL), 3.5 sacks and five interceptions, averaged 22.6 yards on 12 kick returns and 16.0 yards with a touchdown on 27 punt returns. This stuffing of the stat sheet lines up with what I saw when watching him against rival Solon. He's a quick-twitch athlete with speed and toughness. Jaspers plays much bigger than his size and would be an asset for a football program on the next level should be choose to do that with or without wrestling.

Curran played a key role during the Mustang's march to the state semifinals in 2024. The junior produced 40.5 tackles, including 28 solo stops. Curran was credited with 12.0 tackles for loss, seven sacks and an interception. He also rushed for a pair of touchdowns and caught a pass. Curran stands out for his physicality when watching his 11th-grade highlight video. He displays that when crashing into ball carriers running sideline to sideline or blasting down the field on special teams' coverage. Curran diagnoses plays well and breaks down as a tackler. He shows potential as a running back, too, with a burst and power.

Johnson collected 42.0 tackles as a Spartan junior in 2024. He was credited with 30 solo tackles and 4.5 tackles for loss. In-state Division III schools are involved with him. He certainly is a prospect on defense but also shows potential as a tight end. His Hudl page does not include an 11th-grade highlight video but does house a few clips from last season. A few plays against Williamsburg show his straight-line speed, one for making a special-teams' stop and another tracking down the ball carrier for the loss. You can see it again with his high-tempo operation against Benton. Johnson is definitely one to watch in 2025.

Scott chipped in on both sides of the ball for a Williamsburg team that reached the postseason in 2024. He came up with 22.5 tackles, 17 of which were solo. Scott rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries and also served as a kick returner. There isn't much film to view on his Hudl page. During a couple of plays against Clear Creek Amana, one a catch and the other a handoff, Scott shows burst, vision and elusiveness in the open field. Against Fort Madison, Scott shows sharp cutting and a wiggle that one does not teach. He should receive more of the workload this season and is an excellent breakout candidate for 2025.

Williams enjoyed an ultra-productive junior campaign in 2024. He ranked among the team leaders 68.0 tackles (43 solo 2.0 TFL). Williams intercepted three passes. He caught a couple of throws and averaged 27.0 yards on two kick returns. His 11th-grade highlight video reveals a high-tempo performer at safety. Williams processes information before the snap and usually is moving towards where the play is headed. He gets downhill in a hurry, playing under control and wrapping up with technically-sound tackling. Williams is a good athlete with speed and toughness, which also would fit well for special teams on the next level.

Grimm recorded 69.0 tackles as a junior last season. Forty one of those stops were of the solo variety. He also posted 6.5 tackles for loss, a half a sack and an interception, illustrating his versatility, which also included three carries for 20 yards on offense. Grimm shows how he gets the job done during his 11th-grade highlight video. Lining up around the defensive formation, he diagnoses what's coming from the offense before the snap and has an excellent feel for reading the action as it develops. He's fast to the football and arrives at the ball with physicality. Grimm is a technically sound tackler and stands out on special teams.
