Graham-Kapowsin’s young core is a special group

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Graham-Kapowsin Eagles won a state title in 2021 with a special group of seniors.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>And the program believes their young core could develop into that kind of group - with that level of success - if they put in the work.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"We have an extremely exciting young core," coach Jeff Logan said. "Our underclassmen have a ton of varsity game experience, many of whom will be juniors and sophomores. We also have a few freshmen that will be able to compete and contribute at the varsity level. Of our projected starting lineup for the 2025 season, 18 projected starters are underclassmen." </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>That group starts with sensational class of 2028 quarterback A.J. Tuivaiave, who already holds offers from several nationally-renowned programs, as well as offensive lineman Tua Steffany, who is also generated massive buzz early in his career.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>But there's plenty more worthy of recognition. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>At Prep Redzone, we asked Logan to break down some of his up-and-comers, as well as his current <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/08/graham-kapowsin-roster-loaded-with-young-upside-offense/">offense</a> and <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/08/graham-kapowsin-roster-loaded-with-young-upside-defense/">defense</a>. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here's what he had to say: </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Class of 2028</strong><br><br>ATH [player_tooltip player_id='985348' first='Jayce' last='Halasz'] – "Jayce is a promising two-way prospect. His length at corner and top end speed will translate to the next level and allows us defensively to play some different coverages we typically have not had the luxury of being able to run." </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>WR [player_tooltip player_id='985508' first='Jasiah' last='White'] – "Great ball skills, catches ball with confidence using his hands away from his body. Tremendous body control attacking the football down the field." </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>OL/DL Ace Shanburn – "Ace is a promising young lineman that will have a shot to contribute this year on both sides of the football He plays with tremendous leverage on defense and uses good hand placement and technique to be successful on offense. Has put on quality weight and strength this off season." </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Class of 2029</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>ATH George Woods – "Younger brother of GK's all-time leading WR, Jabez Woods. George will see more immediate time on the defensive side of the football as a true freshman, but has impressed early with his ability to catch the football and run varsity level routes, sight adjusting some of our choice routes as if he has done it for a long time." </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>ATH Keh'Ano Corpuz – "One of, if not the most polished freshman we have ever seen at the varsity level, and that was just throughout the spring. Keh'Ano moves like a savvy veteran. He does not lose speed when changing direction and accelerates in and out of breaks. A more experienced WR than defensive back, he will contribute on both sides of the ball early. Keh'Ano is more than a willing tackler and fly's downhill full speed. Keh'Ano was one of the top players on Heir's Apex Predators and played with Heir Black (Heir's top 7's squad) through the 7-on-7 circuit this past winter." </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>LB Eurijah Maifea – "Eurijah is nasty. He is a mean tackler and finisher. He started to get some of our sudo fullback/h-back reps as spring went on and performed exceptionally well. Plays with the physicality needed to contribute at the varsity level early in his career. Aggressive and fierce tackler at the LB position." </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>ATH Lazarus Kinchen – "Laz will be a dominant player as he continues his high school career. Laz has grown leaps and bounds through our youth program over the years. Great open field tackler and tough with the ball in his hands.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>OL/DL [player_tooltip player_id='1558507' first='Max' last='Brown'], Jax Hull, Brody Walker – "All linemen that work extremely hard and will continue to get bigger and better. Will benefit from being able to develop and learn behind a junior heavy offensive line."</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>RB Anthony Archer – "Exciting future at the RB position. Vision far surpasses many freshmen at his level and has a jump cut to pair with that vision.
