7A WEST: Teams Breakout Candidate

<p>August has arrived, which means high school football will start in a few weeks. This report will cover the potential breakout candidates for each team in 2025.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Bentonville:</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1596286' first='Conrad' last='Schmitz'] will be playing on Saturdays. He has an extensive route tree and runs routes fluidly with no wasted motion. Schmitz demonstrates a quick release, due to his good footwork, acceleration, and foot quickness, which allow him to eat up space quickly. He effectively creates separation off breaks due to his good COD, balance, and burst off his plant foot. He's a vertical threat that can stretch the field and blow right past the opposing defensive back. Once he spots an opening, he showcases solid burst to attack the hole. Burke is difficult to tackle, exhibiting good contact balance and leg drive to break free from defenders and gain extra yards. He often requires double teams and can become a two-gap plug. He displays very good lower-body strength, power and good contact balance, allowing him to break through contact to create additional yards. He is a strong off-ball cornerback with a good motor, allowing him to chase down ball carriers from behind. Berry possesses good foot speed and hip fluidity to transition quickly and stay stride for stride with receivers. He's quick, elusive and will make defenders miss post-catch. He displays solid COD, hip fluidity, balance, and burst off his plant foot with no wasted motion to create separation off his breaks. Jakaitis showcases solid mental processing to read and locate voids against the zone and will settle for his quarterback.
