They had their eyes set on that same goal last season, but fell in the state semifinals. A year later, the Tigers lost a few high-level athletes but returned the necessary talent at the skill and line positions to accomplish that feat. Princeton will also have a new head coach in 2025, with former Parkersburg South head man Nathan Tanner making his way down and bringing state championship experience with him to help reach that final hurdle for the program.

2025 Schedule

8/29: at Capital
9/5: vs Bluefield
9/12: vs Oak Hill
9/26: vs Graham (VA)
10/4: vs Winfield
10/10: at Greenbrier East
10/17: at Woodrow Wilson
10/24: vs Independence
10/31: at Hurricane
11/7: at South Charleston

2024 Record: 12-1
2025 Prediction: 10-0

Orchestrating the Princeton Tigers' offense for the third-straight year is veteran 2026 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1011963' first='Chance' last='Barker']. He's made his name well-known in the state since leading the Tigers to the state championship as a sophomore in 2023, but his title destiny has yet to be fulfilled. With one more opportunity to do so in his high school career, Barker is entering his senior season as the best version of himself and is ready to lead his team to that one final goal.

Barker's favorite target in the passing game is 2026 WR [player_tooltip player_id='1096605' first='Brad' last='Mossor'], who will be on the short list for the Randy Moss Award this season. He totaled 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior and is capable of adding to those numbers as a senior. Mossor is electric with the ball in his hands as the top YAC receiver in the state. You can get him the ball in a variety of ways and let his playmaking ability do the rest. Mossor needs some FCS looks this fall as he has D1 ability.

The Tigers' defense will be led by 2026 EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='894897' first='Kalum' last='Kiser'], who will be moving to middle linebacker for his senior year. He's an elite pass rusher off the edge, so it will be interesting to see how he translates to a new role. Kiser has the athleticism and ability to execute his new position and help bolster a Princeton defense that struggled at times in the past against title-contending teams.
