We released our updated 2026 rankings on Tuesday. Here are 10 of the top New Additions:

[player_tooltip player_id='1749417' first='Wyatt' last='Boognl'], Farmington: The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder is Farmington's top returning player on the defensive line. Last season he made 28 tackles, 5.0 TFL and 2.0 sacks. Farmington is looking to bounce back after a non-playoff year in 2024. Boognl will spark the Scorpions defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1750200' first='Jack' last='Byers'], Artesia: In addition to being one of the state's top baseball prospects, the 6-foot-3 Byers is also a very talented wide receiver for the Bulldogs. He'll be one of the top passing targets for new Artesia starting quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1672571' first='Derrick' last='Warren'].

[player_tooltip player_id='1752446' first='Warren' last='Cooper'], Bernalillo: The 6-foot-4, 270-pound Cooper is slated to start at right tackle for the Spartans. He's being recruited by several DII schools in the region. Bernalillo's offense should be more run-oriented this year with a new quarterback, a Thunder and lightning RB duo and a massive O-Line.

[player_tooltip player_id='1751748' first='Collin' last='Foster'], St. Pius X: The Sartans are highly regarded in Class 4A for their high-powered offense. But the defense is pretty good too. Foster is a three-year starter at cornerback. He combines physicality and impressive speed. Last year he made 46 tackles with 5 pass breakups and fumble recoveries.

[player_tooltip player_id='1750685' first='Luke' last='Lynn'], Roswell: The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Lynn has patiently waited his turn to quarterback the Coyotes offense. Lynn showed during 7x7 season that he possesses a cannon throwing arm and has a very large presence in the pocket. But he also has elite athleticism, so expect him to run the football too. He'll be tough to bring down.

[player_tooltip player_id='1750560' first='Elijah' last='Martinez'], Valley: Martinez is Valley's top returning tackler. He'll play inside LB for the Vikings. The Valley defense loses a pair of next level talents but should be good again. The LB corps is deep with possibly as many as eight or nine players competing for playing time.

[player_tooltip player_id='1748882' first='Mateo' last='Montoya'], Las Cruces: Montoya is described as a player with breakout potential after making 22 tackles with 1 interception and 10 passes defended. Good size at 6-foot-0, 185 pounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='1720577' first='Santos' last='Nevarez'], Del Norte: Nevarez is developing into one of the top offensive linemen in the Albuquerque Metro Region. The 260-pounder was a camp warrior this summer, and has impressed the Del Norte coaches in the weight room.

[player_tooltip player_id='1751399' first='Rocky' last='Rodriguez'], Gadsden: Rodriguez is Gadsden's second-leading returning tackler after quietly enjoying a solid campaign in 2024 with 45 tackles. That's why his coach described Rodriguez as the ‘heart and soul' of the underrated Gadsden defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1749304' first='Andres' last='Romero'], Los Lunas: Romero helped key the Los Lunas defense in 2024 with 56 tackles from his LB position. The Tigers defense has the potential to be very stout in 2025 with four of the top five tacklers returning from last season.
