<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Saturday, May 3 I was fortunate enough to be invited to cover You Are Athlete's New Jersey Regional Exposure Camp. This event had a double session that features middle schoolers first and high schoolers second. As is customary whenever I attend an event, the first thing I take note of are the prospects that have the clear, physical measurables to immediately compete at the next, immediate level of play – also known as the eye test.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Below are my scouting notes from the position group mentioned in this article's title.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Be sure to follow me on&nbsp;<a href="https://x.com/BrendanScoutsNJ"><strong>Twitter</strong></a>&nbsp;for the latest updates in New Jersey high school football.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:separator --> <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" /> <!-- /wp:separator --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With such a young crop of gun slingers, the future looks bright and this is much feedback go go around, much that had to do with mechanics and arm strength... [player_tooltip player_id='1536061' first='Talib' last='Nartey'], a native New Yorker, has plenty of time to get bigger and stronger. Still just a 7th grader, I thought that Nartey needed to get more on the ball when delivering on an out route. Doing so, as well as anticipating his receiver's break, will allow for a more uncontested ball... Sticking with the high school class of 2030, Emanuel Roberson has an opportunity to be a good one, too. Roberson can deliver my drive, and thus command, on his throws as he improves the frequency of how he steps into his throws.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Perhaps it is a theme with the high school graduating class of 2030, as I had similar feedback for Jeffrey Owens. As he steps into his throw more, more juice will get on the ball. Owens does have the right idea, however, as I noticed him torque his lower body when working to get his most on the ball... A grade younger and still just in the 6th grade, [player_tooltip player_id='1638406' first='Christian' last='Cali'] did not appear to have any issues in terms of arm strength. An opportunity to continue to grow for this current 6th grader would be ball placement. This throws were generally on-target to the man; however, it would be to his benefit to lead his receivers a bit more, particularly on dig routes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We close out with the eldest of the young group, a 2029 graduate in [player_tooltip player_id='1371902' first='CJ' last='Stieh']. Stieh was a bit on the smaller side, but he came across polished beyond his years. Between the command on his throws, how he conducts himself and his huddle, and coachability, Stieh was present and ready to improve. I was most impressed with the sizzle, early release, and lead he put on an out route that he threw. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">You Are Athlete New Jersey Regional Exposure Camp Coverage</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/05/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-middle-school-eye-test">Eye Test, Middle School</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/05/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-middle-school-dbs">Defensive Backs, Middle School</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/06/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-middle-school-dbs-part-2">Defensive Backs, Middle School, Part 2</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/06/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-middle-school-d-linemen">Defensive Linemen, Middle School</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/06/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-middle-school-linebackers">Linebackers, Middle School</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/06/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-middle-school-o-linemen">Offensive Linemen, Middle School</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/05/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-middle-school-qbs">Quarterbacks, Middle School</a><br><a href="http://are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-middle-school-qbs-part-2">Quarterbacks, Middle School, Part 2</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/05/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-middle-school-wrs">Receivers, Middle School</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/05/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-middle-school-rbs">Running Backs, Middle School</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/06/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-middle-school-rbs-part-2">Running Backs, Middle School, Part 2</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/05/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-high-school-eye-test">Eye Test, High School</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/06/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-high-school-d-backs"><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/06/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-high-school-d-backs">Defensive Backs, High School</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/06/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-high-school-dbs-part-ii">Defensive Backs, High School, Part 2</a></a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/05/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-high-school-dl">Defensive Line, High School</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/06/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-high-school-linebackers">Linebackers, High School</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/06/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-high-school-o-linemen">Offensive Linemen, High School</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/05/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-high-school-qbs">Quarterbacks, High School</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/06/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-high-school-qbs-part-2">Quarterbacks, High School, Part 2</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/05/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-high-school-wrs">Receivers, High School</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/06/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-high-school-wrs-part-2">Receivers, High School, Part 2</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/05/you-are-athlete-regional-exposure-camp-high-school-rb">Running Backs, High School</a></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
